I came across an article aptly titled “Greed: The Mother of All Sins”. Ironic it may seem I thought of Michael Koncz, his name befitting the association to this nasty five letter word, greed.

Koncz who has always called himself the “Advisor” to Manny Pacquiao has been removed from his full time position as MP’s Personal Assistant in the Philippines. The once well known gatekeeper of MP is now a full time U.S. resident again.
Koncz best known for getting beat up in the Philippines for the way he viciously speaks to individuals has not made it back to MP’s native land after the Mosley fight.
Koncz lives in a $1.4 million dollar house, stays in luxurious hotel suites, flies first class and has an abundance of material wealth. All these affluence courtesy of the generous Manny Pacquiao has not satisfied this man’s lust for money.
When I flew back to the Philippines with MP I was aghast to hear all the bodyguards of the “Champ” saying how Michael Koncz was holding back their allowances for food and training during their stint in Baguio for the Mosley fight.
The most horrible thing about greed is when you do not provide for those who are in dire need. Yet with Koncz this cruel act of selfishness & avarice never seemed to bother him.
I was told Koncz even had his own bodyguard that went to the U.S. to protect him. He followed Koncz everywhere, but asked to give up the lucrative paying job after a few months because he could not withstand Koncz’ repulsive attitude in his dealing with people.
When I spoke with these bodyguards they were visibly shaken. They could not understand why a man with so much money would hold back their well deserved compensation for the hard work that they do protecting the “Champ”.
I do not know what Koncz’s role will now be in Team Pacquiao. I imagine he might still be Manny Pacquiao’s Head Personal Assistant in the U.S. – That is until the U.S. boys take a stand for what is right and what is best for the “Champ”.
I believe that Michael Koncz does not possess the qualifications nor has the proper knowledge to represent Manny Pacquiao accurately to Top Rank. Manny Pacquiao is just too big now and he needs top caliber U.S. attorneys/business managers that will represent him and his negotiations with Top Rank and other media sponsors. MP is better off with a team that can handle the intricacies of U.S. business laws and are willing to work with the team in the Philippines professionally.
Everyone knows that Michael Koncz started a war with Eric Pineda and Attorney Jeng Gacal some months ago when he advised all U.S. sponsors not to deal with those guys and only deal with him. These people that fed Michael Koncz and brought him in Team Pacquiao were stabbed in the back. This is the kind of person that he is a skilled manipulator, nothing else.
I do not know what Michael Koncz’s position will be. Maybe he will finally focus on the Filipino fighters under the MP promotions banner and get them some real trainers and some genuine conditioning coaches.
There is nothing more depressing to see a great fighter lose a fight not because he did not have the best set of skills or a big enough heart, but because he was not trained properly. He lost because other fighters with lesser skills are coming in better shape and outlasting the Filipino warriors because they were given the opportunity to have the proper training and conditioning required of Champions!
Koncz should take a lesson from the “Champ’s” book and know that it is better to give then to receive. Let go of some of your hefty salary and give it back to the people that have helped you along the way.
Take care of these young Filipino fighters that MP has entrusted to you. Give them what is due to them before their careers go down the drain.
As for Manny Pacquiao, how is he adjusting to Koncz no longer being his Personal Assistant? Personally, I have never seen him happier.
Manny Pacquiao does not love money, nor does he let it control his life. Just as Thoreau has penned, “Most of the luxuries and many of so called comforts of life are not only not indispensable, but positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind”, MP knows fame and fortune are fleeting. He always believes happiness is in giving!!!
There is a reason why the networks took it off regular tv. Boxing refuses to regulate itself, and too many shady business deals have crippled it's reputation. People will watch Mayweather/Pacquiao, but other than that they truly don't care about the sport anymore. The hardcore fan base is not expanding. The Heavyweight division is practically dead, and UFC has the infrastructure to generate the same amount of ratings at half the production cost to HBO. HBO been cut their boxing budget to 35 million already. It really is on it's last legs, and I don't see what Pelper or Lombardo will do to revive it.
Boxing was taken off regular TV because regular TV couldn't compete with HBO budget for boxing or PPVs.
The reason is that people don't care about the sport is too many damn divisions and champs but also because they have to pay 60 bucks to watch a fight that can turn out a bore just be a straight mismatch.
Boxing needs to get worse before it gets better. When hits rock bottom than it will clean itself up. HBO getting rid of boxing. Will be rock bottom. And, there will be no network over paying fighters or fights. And, therefor boxers all of them maybe except the main 2 will have to take a pay cut. Where the networks will think that risk of showing a fight can be affordable. Right now is not affordable for the networks.
I mean good god both Bradley and Alexander got 7 figures for their fight. They were not worth that much. A network couldn't afford that. But, if you take HBO out of the picture it would force Bradley and Alexander(examples) to take less money, maybe way less.
You think so?
You talking about if boxing is off HBO right?
you think that will definitely kill boxing. You don't think it might help it?
it definitely wouldnt. i dunno why ppl think it would. boxing isnt gonna be on network television any time soon for numerous reasons. hbo is the most subscribed to out of all the subscription channels. ppl dont really watch fnf unless they are harcore. no boxing on hbo will definitely hurt boxing, no doubt about it.
Bob Arum owns Pacquiao for 5 more fights win or lose. All this posturing is for his fans to have something to talk about, because they can't say **** about USADA or Mayweather at this point. All this drama has gotten old, and is killing boxing. If UFC does a deal with HBO, Pacquiao's reluctance to fight Floyd and female like drama bull**** will have pushed boxing into it's grave.

Yes that was stated, implying that he still had to fulfill his contracts with these fighters. Yet he is no longer in the limelight, his time is running out, lol.
i will miss koncs way of how he takes care of manny. cooking manny's rice, cutting his steak and spoon feed him like a nanny.:luvbed:
Who would you rather be with?

These two have nothing in common. Koncz is just an advisor while McKelvey handles his endorsements with American sponsors.
Manny still needs a guy to keep an eye on those leeches. I've read so many articles of people taking his money. Koncz is a control freak, but he was there for a reason.
koncs wasn't fired. his responsibility was just limited to taking care of MP promotions stable of fighters in the US.

Manny Pacquiao is so HUGE he can't even be treated like an individual anymore.
"Pacquiao" is now an organization not a single person.
Muhammad Ali, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan. Those guys were huge but they would just be small privately held firms while Pacquiao, relative to them, would be a blue chip stock in the New York Stock Exchange.
Floyd Mayweather is just a small family owned convenience store compared to the Mega Corporate Behemoth that Fighter of the Decade and Pound for Pound King Manny Pacquiao has become. Compared to Pacquiao, prime Pernell Whitaker would be a sidewalk vendor illegally selling chewing gum near the garbage dump near the loading dock of Pacquiao Corporate Headquarters.
Wow!!! Unprecedented in the history of sports!!! Amazing!!!
I find it odd that a small family-owned convenience store is going to make more than twice as much money in his next fight as the Mega corporate Behemoth, fighter of the decade and pound-for-pound king is going to make. Obviously that corporate behemoth is not as big as his d!ickriders on this site think he is.

But Timothy James said Koncz has only been removed from being Pac's "butler" to now working directly with Top Rank, for Manny Pacquiao.
At least that's what Tim said in some video, I paraphrased of course. So I don't see what's gonna be the difference. The stupid rat is still part of the Manny camp. He went from cooking fries to now working in the cash registers, but still working for Manny.

manny said he isnt fired
This one was dated 7/19 wherein Pac implicitly stated that Koncz will no longer handle his personal affairs.
The article posted in this thread is dated 7/21 by Timothy James, the official writer of Manny Pacquiao`s website, he just posted today.
Timothy James also clarified that this Official Announcement had to be rebuked even by him because he was not given the authority, until today:
Early this week I had to rebuke that Michael Koncz has been fired, because this is an Official Site for Manny Pacquiao and I can not release information until legally I am given those rights. Sometimes stories leak and you can get first hand information from others.
Manny said he wasnt fired
and arum and marley said this wasnt mannys official website
all i hear from these guys are bullsh1t
Just tryng to find a way to distract the masses from ost and a potential fight with floyd.
