Could the mosley guys please post their scorecards? I can't for the life of me find more than 5 rounds to give mosley. 6 if im being mosley-biased. 7 is just impossible.
I thought it was a very competitive fight, but also a fairly clear cut win for Cotto.
He controlled large parts of the fight with his jab, he landed the more meaningful punches and he out-boxed Shane over the piece. Excellent fight.

I had Mosley by a rd,but this was a very close fight that had it went either way ya could not be mad..Great fight wish they would have had a rematch right after this fight...
Wow... I don't understand how you can say someone won the fight if you haven't seen the whole fight.. :lol1:
Anyways... I had Cotto winning 7 to 5. Great damn fight. Watch the whole fight bro.
Cotto won a close fight. Controlled the pace for the majority of the fight and landed the more significant shots. When a fight is that close, you have to look at other intangibles than just numbers and Cotto's shots seem to be more noticeably effective which obviously the judges saw.
It was a close fight that Cotto won. I scored it 8-4, but I could see a 7-5 win for Cotto. Cotto controlled most of the fight and controlled Shane. SSM had moments towards the end while Cotto was doing a little DLH, because he bagged the first half of the fight.
I enjoyed the fight and ultimately, it was the last time we saw SSM being great in the ring.
**Note, I realize he KOd Margs, however can we all agree that Margs wasn't 100% into the game mentally before getting his ass kicked...he was ripe for the picking**
how could a guy getting out landed controlling a fight? please tell me that
If a fighters lands a lot of punches in one round you cannot take the whole total and divided equally on a 12 round fight. It doesn't work that way.
It goes in how a fighter controls the round. Compu box is a good indicator but it is not a deciding factor.
Watch Withaker vs Cardona, Cardona threw over 1000 punches in that fight and Pernell still controlled the fight
just saying according to compu box mosley landed the more power shots. just stating
CompuBox shouldn't be the end all be all. Boxing is judged on a round by round basis. Numbers could easily be skewed if one fighter wins all his rounds big while the other wins more competitive rounds.
cotto won it, first couple of rds with the power jab, then Mosley came back a little, and Cotto fought back hard and pulled the fight towards him. close but clear decision like Jim Lampley said.
one of the best fights of Cotto, i loved it!
im just being honest here, at least i didnt lie and say oh i watched 12 rounds and it was a 12-0 decisioin for moslely.
You can't have an informed opinion if you didn't watch the whole fight.
It was a close fight and every round matters.
go watch the fight on Youtube and comeback.
That like me making a thread on Gatti-Ward I and saying Gatti should have won while only watching the last three rounds.
End thread/
Massive TS Fail.
