Noticed Arum, Roach, and the Pactards like to talk about all of the fighters Mayweather has ducked but when we look closer it seems like a bunch of BS to me.
Margarito? Please..Margarito would have never touched Floyd and Floyd most likely treats him like Corrales and Gatti.
Cotto? Same thing.
Who else? Shane? Oh yeah, Floyd took him on after Pacquiao and Arum ran away and signed with Clottey...AFTER SHANE CAME OFF OF ONE OF HIS BEST FIGHTS BY WHIPPING MARAGARITO.
Who else has Floyd ever avoided? Who has he ducked? Paul Williams? LMAO...please.
Mayweather is going to either win 10 of 12 rds or KO Ortiz then look at Pac, Khan, then maybe the best after that...if that is to occur, who did he avoid that had a real chance against him?
I believe its not whether we think Floyd would have dominated Tony or Cotto, I believe he should have fought them to have them on his resume to increase his legacies greatness.
and that is what pissed a lot of people off. He didn't make fights in the conventional fashion.
He didn't truly duck anyone but he did not take fights with a lot of the highest ranked guys in the division, he primarily fought name fighters. People also forget that he fought Baldomir and Judah, who were the top two welterweights at the time. But whatever.
It's funny, cause at no point in their careers, these guys that Floyd supposedly ducked weren't even the champions/the man to beat in the division.
At 147 Floyd fought former and current Lineal/Ring champions, Judah, Baldomir, Hatton, Mosley, De La Hoya.
Cotto, Margarito, and Clottey were never recognized by The Ring or Lineal champions in any weight class at any point of their career. Yeah, those are some monsters Floyd ducked.
Arum kept Cotto (like he's doing with Pac) away from Floyd...which was smart.
Margarito got his ass beat by Shane who Floyd dominated. No, don't tell me styles make fights...great fighters and champions make for victorious fights. Mayweather kills Margarito and probably stops him.
Pac? Arum is keeping him safe and away from Mayweather. If it wasn't obvious before it certainly is now...all while Mayweather has taken on the two hottest and scariest fighters at 147 his last two times out.
at 140, Cotto stayed away from Floyd, truth
at 147, Floyd ducked him
Floyd ducked Tony at 147 too
make his name bigger? unifying belts in 08 made it big
too bad Floyd "retired"
Floyd is running scared from Pac, deal with it
forget the triangle theories and the woulda shoulda coulda bullshit
Floyd gets no props for hypothetical wins
yeah he coulda beat them, but he didn't fight them
and what the fuck is scary about Ortiz or was about Shane?
Marquez doesn’t belong anywhere above 135.
he doesn't.
but he belongs in the ring with pacquiao.
he was born to fight someone like pacquiao.
you'll see.
you'll be surprised at how much jmm right hands pacquiao eats win or lose.
stevie johnston, thats it. floyd wanted no part of him at 135.
cotto turned down a fight with floyd at 140, floyd couldve fought him after DLH instead but went for the money by fighting hatton who at the time was as highly regarded as cotto. they were both 2 division champions (hatton being lineal champion at 140) and only one spot apart on the p4p rankings. only major difference is hatton was much more popular and brought much more money to the table in addition to having dissrespected floyd publicly.
margarito? please. anyone who acctually followed the sport knows margarito was never on anyones radar for floyd.
all these other names get thrown in there at random, its silly really. i even seen ppl say he ducked a prime DLH even though floyd called him out atleast a dozen times going back as far as when he was at 130.
I said the same thing about Hopkins before he moved up to LHW. Look what happened there. I can't wait to hear your response. Oh wait I know what it's gonna be. "DURRRRR HE LOOK DURRR FAT OLD ND SLOW AGAISNT MAYWEATHER DURRRRR SO HE DONT BELONG THERE DURRRRRR"
Yea, Marquez could beat a lot of the top guys at 140.
I believe its not whether we think Floyd would have dominated Tony or Cotto, I believe he should have fought them to have them on his resume to increase his legacies greatness.
Cotto
Tony
Pac
if you really wanna be picky, you can say Johnston
Arum kept Cotto (like he's doing with Pac) away from Floyd...which was smart.
Margarito got his ass beat by Shane who Floyd dominated. No, don't tell me styles make fights...great fighters and champions make for victorious fights. Mayweather kills Margarito and probably stops him.

What Floyd should have done was clean out the division, Cotto, Marg, Pac, Clottey. In the end it would be the likes of the bolded three he didn't fight in their relative primes which was wack
