Do you think Williams vs Lara is the worst robbery in recent memory? Imo it was a bad decision without a doubt but i have seen worse recently. Without HBO making such a stink this would just be business as usual with another bs decision.
Casa might have been done or had an off night or whatever. But, that doesn't change the fact that it was a flat out robbery.
The rounds were not close at all.
That decision was much worse than the P-Will-Lara decision.
Nope. Casamayor controlled the ring and Santa Cruz landed air flurries all night.
I thought Malignaggi-Diaz 1 was pretty bad, and Guzman-Funeka 1 was a bad decision, Cintron-Martinez and Cintron-Williams were bad calls, even though I wouldn't consider it a robbery I really thought Berto clearly lost against Collazo. I thought Cotto lost to Clottey, but not by much. Williams-Lara might be the worst. I always see bad decisions when I watch boxing...smh
Didnt Casa go on to beat Katsidis after this fight? I dont remeber too much because i was drunk as fuk but i remember Santa Cruz Casamayor to be a pretty bad decision
The katsidis fight also showed that he was done as a fighter. Every good fighter has their last hurrah...That was Casa last great fight. But, even in that fight he was getting beat up. He was losing against Katsidis until he landed that one punch from hell. Credit to Casa he threw it and it landed. It wasn't lucky by any means...But, he need that punch to come out with the victory. Kind of like Whitaker vs Hurtado. Where Whitaker had his last hurrah was losing the fight. But, scored the come from behind KO. But, it showed that Whitaker was pretty much on his way out.
Williams-Lara was a horrible decision. There's no way in hell P-Will won that fight. I mean the decision was horrible. But, people are over hyping the decision because so recent. No doubt it's the worse decision of the year IMO. But, there have been worse. Casamayor-Santa Cruz being one of them. That fight proved to me how done as a fighter Casa was.

Williams/Martinez 1 also comes to mind. It was basially the same as Lara/Williams except with better, harder punches and a kd.
Every round was close and boring. That fight was more about Casamayor having an off night than Cruz doing anything to win. It could've gone either way.

Much worse.
I remember have trouble giving Casa one round.

If you can't call that fight a robbery than you can't call this one a robbery either. The Casa-Cruz fight was much worse than this.

Shumenov-Campillo II was worse than this.
I mean this decision was bad. Maybe the worse one of the year so far.
But, it wasn't the worse one in the last year or 2 or 3 etc etc.
Not a robbery. People were just shocked that a journeyman like Cruz could even keep it close with a great like Casamayor.

It was terrible, but I think the first Funeka/Guzman "draw" was much much worse.
That fight was on the verge of being stopped at least 5 times. Funeka almost killed him.
I agree with this and also Martinez vs Cintron was just as bad.
