A lot of the criticism Amir Khan recieves is either about his chin or his arrogance. I can understand the question marks on his chin as he was knocked out but what about people claiming he is arrogant??
To me Khan seems like a down to earth guy who just wants to win titles and make a ton of money at the same time (basically just like any other boxer out there.)
On the whole I get the feeling that people who think Khan is arrogant, believe this because he always talks about future fights he wants to have down the line .i.e. Mayweather. Personally, I do think Khan does talk about mayweather a tad to much but how on earth is he going to get a fight with floyd without calling him out all the time?
Almost every respected fighter is calling out floyd and manny trying to hit the jackpot fight, but no-one seems to call all them other fighters arrogant, so why is Khan the exception??
If Khan went into fights saying that the other fighter is absolutly no match for him whatsoever and he would blow them out the water within the first 2 rounds, than we have every right to call him arrogant, but wanting to fight the best by calling them is arrogance???
Just wondering why some people think he is arrogant?
Peace.
khan is arrogant. he thinks he automatically deserves love from the british people.
He's nowhere near as arrogant as most people think. he's not really arrogant at all tbh
"he thinks he automatically deserves love from the british people"
He does get an unnecessary amount of hate from the media here in the UK, although it has gotten better since his win over Maidana. I think he gets annoyed because IT IS unjustified, especially when you think Khan is an Olympic silver medallist, world champion and a top 140lber (one of the best divisons in boxing), one of the top 2 boxers in the UK atm (after Froch) and all that at the age of 24.
He's one of those arrogant people that hides it behind the "down to Earth" disposition. Freddie Roach always did the same thing.
That's the reason that, despite how good and exciting he is, I don't like him.
1 thing he always does is insult u as a fighter without actually saying that u suck, and ending it with "but he's a good fighter, and I take my hat off to him"
"Victor Ortiz is just a B class fighter. He's not ready for the big leagues, I'd knock him out. But he's a good fighter, and I take my hat off to him."
Khan is a good guy. Met him while I was in LA. I got nothing bad to say about the kid. He really cares about his fans. God forbid the guy believes in himself. You mean fighters who think they can win are arrogant? Golly gee.
You know, after Khan-Maidana, it was Amir who wanted to take a friendly picture with Maidana, while Marcos just sat there and glowered and sulked like he didn't want to share a civil word with Khan.
But Khan's arrogant, ok.
Im saying Khan is not arrogant. Not the opposite lol
Mmm, I agree.
I see Judah as a stern test, not a foregone conclusion. I'd go as far as to say it feels like a 50/50 fight.
Amir's big dream for now needs to be beating a guy with the experience and winning pedigree of Zab Judah.
It is a 50/50 fight yeah, but Amirs got hard fights ahead and this is a perfect test at the perfect time. He wins and he arguably becomes a legitimate P4P fighter having unified the division
Zab could spoil all that, get a good second wind in his career by beating 3 top 10 140lbers on the spin, unified a division and is back in the mix for a superfight.
Khan also tried to shake hands at the beginning of the fight and at the 12th round. He's a good lad at heart, but when he gets in a position where someone asks him a question, he gets all starry eyed and starts day dreaming.
He is arrogant, but most boxers are. He just needs to only be talking about Zab Judah right now, we've heard next to nothing from him about the Judah fight, its all been about Mayweather,
You cant pay that little respect to Zab Judah without motivating him further. He's got a former undisputed Welterweight Champion in front of him who's been in with the best. This isnt a crude slugger like Maidana or a powderpuff Paulie M, this is a tough, technical and dangerous fight and Amir's taking his eye of the ball with all this dreaming about Floyd
Anytime you get a young kid who has 30 people blowing smoke up his ass telling him how amazing he is everyday so those 30 people can get a pie$e of the pie, all that talk is going to go to your head.
Its a profession being a leech, it takes lots of preparation and ass kissing. Oh and dont forget scouting, a good leech gotta be a good scout because a fighter wont make the good money for a long time, a good leech knows when to jump ship and polish a new fighters knob.
Just look at the people around Pwill,Amir,Floyd. All those dudes will jump ship once the $$$ stops coming in
unbelieveably arrogant. last time he took his eye of the ball and thought past a fight, he got well and truly sparked out.
and this time isnt Breidis Prescott, its Zab Judah
