It appears that, all along, people have been misinterpreting the context of the random blood testing issue. Based on the statements of USADA's Travis Tygart and Dr. Caitlin of the Non-profit Anti-doping Research, a 14-day blood testing cut-off with urine testing up to the fight, would have been more than enough AS LONG AS THERE IS AN OPTION TO BLOOD TEST FURTHER IF THEY FIND SOME ANOMALY IN THE URINE TEST.
Actually, Dr. Caitlin was very specific on the the number of days of no testing where an individual could not be caught, and that is a 24-day window. This conforms exactly to Tygart's statement when he said, regarding his decision to stop blood testing 18 days prior to the fight, that they didn't need any further test. The rest of the random tests would be done through urine testing and another blood test right after the fight. However, if some anomaly in the urine test suddenly appeared, they would get another blood sample. But the urine tests did not uncover anything that could be questionable so they decided to end the blood test.
To summarize; a 14 day or even a 20-day cut-off would have been sufficient so long as both fighters are made aware that further blood testing would be done if they discover any anomaly in the urine test. The continued urine test up to the fight would simply insure that neither fighter would try to cheat inside the 24-day window.
No cut off would be ideal...7 day cutoff would be the next best thing. But, Pac doesn't even want to agree to that :nonono:
But according to Dr. Caitlin and Tygart of the USADA, it is no longer necessary to blood test inside the 24-day window as long as the urine tests do not show any anomaly.
Nope not true, so many doctors have said without 100% total random blood testing the test would be useless.
The steroids out there now a days would never be picked up through a urine test therefore a boxer would be able to juice up all they want after the cut off knowing that their piss would always come up clean.
I don't see how the test would be useless if you have a 7 day cut off and it would be random up to that day.
However, the point is moot because Pac hasn't agreed to it.
Lol? ya bro is moar den enuff dere r no rugs that u can take and 14 days latur dey are in ur system durrrrr pholoyd is ducking durrrrr manny durrrr manny durrrrr hgh durrrrrr

So that means Dr. Caitlin, Tygart and the USADA do not know what they're doing.

Great! Now it's very clear how most of FLoyd fans' brains works.

So it boils down to "because Floyd says so".

Who needs testing. I can care less if my favorite fighter may be juicing. I don't even want know if they're clean or not. I rather them not get caught, it would hurt my feelings along with another part of my body too much.
Not sure if some of the responders are still having some difficulty in grasping what this thread is trying to get across. So here is another attempt to explain it further.
There is a big difference between a blanket statement saying that blood testing can be done at anytime without notice, up to the fight, as against, blood testing will be done anytime up to 14 or 20 days prior to the fight but, with the option to take additional blood test if there is an anomaly found in the urine test which will be done anytime up to the fight.
mOST FANS, MEDIA, ETC TURNED AGAINST FLOYD BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT IT WAS ENOUGH... NOW THAT PAC HAS EVEN GONE FURTHER TO CONCEDE TO FLOYD, IT JUST ICING ON THE CAKE IF FLOYD COMES UP WITH ANOTHER OBSTACLE, IT JUST ADS MORE TO WHAT PEOPLE ALREADY THINK.
