Federal investigators in Los Angeles are looking at cheating in professional cycling and have shown interest in Armstrong since former teammate and 2006 Tour de France winner Floyd Landis alleged this spring that Armstrong and others took performance-enhancing drugs, which Armstrong strongly denies. In 2007, Landis said USADA offered him a similar deal to finger Armstrong. At the time, Landis called the offer "offensive" and did not provide evidence against Armstrong. USADA spokeswoman Erin Hannan said the agency could not comment in detail about an investigation. "Our effort in any investigation is a search for the truth, nothing more and nothing less," Hannan said. "On behalf of clean athletes, we will fairly and thoroughly evaluate all evidence of doping to reveal the truth. I appreciate your candid response but I disagree on your 1st statement completely. Were talking about a 200-300 million dollar fight with residual affects for all parties involved.Arum's past transgressions can't be ignored as it is directly relative to the sport. If he had bribed a county official on a real estate deal, then maybe it would be viewed different by some, but the reality is he committed a crime in the very sport he promotes and makes money from. I understand people are skeptical, but I don't think Arum or Mayweather is that much of an idiot to try and bribe anything for this fight.

A couple of things: 1. It's absurd to think Arum wants another agency so he just can bribe them. He has a history of bribing him, but I think Arum is looking to an agency who won't probably test as "often" as USADA does. I also think it has to do with not letting Floyd "dictate" all of the negotiations 2. The people in this article who have accused USADA here are two people, Armstrong's lawyer and Floyd Landis. Armstrong's camp have the attitude of "accuse everyone, we're the victim" approach to whatever means possible. Landis has had a history of publicly lying and backtracking too if I'm not mistaken. 3. If Manny were to test positively for steroids under USADA, why not have a clause that would send the tests results to some other commission to confirm the results? What is USADA going to do, swap out Manny's blood so it tests positively :lol1: 4. Just because Floyd is paying for the test doesn't mean it's some big conspiracy to cheat Pacquiao. USADA is balanced and fair. No athlete who has has been tested has ever claimed that USADA rigged the test. It's stupid to say that. 5. The question here is whether Tygart asked Landis to sell out Armstrong specifically, not whether USADA offers deals for other information. The latter is fine, the first is a little shady, but this story has never been confirmed and the accusations come from Landis, a guy who wrote a whole book about not doing steroids only to admit later he did.

There's nothing wrong if WADA insist for another anti-doping agency to handle it. There isn't anything to complaining about at this point.
