Lewis was heavy, unfit and unprepared for Vitali. Even with that being the case, he took Vitali's biggest punches, battered Vitali's face to a bloody mess and got the stoppage. 'Lucky' would be cutting someone with a head clash or something of the sort and escaping with a win, but Lewis cut him up with big, clean punches.
Imagine if he was well trained, in shape and prepared.

if you saw the actual fight..... Lewis was getting dominated 2/3 of the fight. he only managed to cut Vitali.
he threw everything and the kitchen sink at Vitali and Vitali didn't even buckle while Lewis was getting hammered from pillar to post.
Lewis had 1 or 2 more rounds left. He was lucky that night.
