eh, i always felt george foreman was a little off in the head.
More than a little, as well as always wanting to agree with you. He hears (or heard) voices inside his head, and is also very superstitious. During the fight in Africa against Ali, he'd heard that Ali had had a witchdoctor put a spell on him, and got his own "doctor" who went all over and under the ring with his paraphernalia, to give poor old George some "good vibes".
He sure loves to talk about himself alot.
Youn obviously never heard Lennox Lewis, who ALWAYS brings himself into ANY comment, even if it's only about ther weather.
He's spectactical, but I wish the other commentators wouldn't egg him on with the self-promotion and the name dropping.
During the Cloud-Mack fight a couple of weeks ago they were talking about Cloud "shoeshining" and it was brought up how Roy was a "pretty good shoeshiner" and Larry Merchant said that Roy usually had a little more "shoe polish" though and Bob Papa chimed in like a dorky third wheel with "THICK!"
It was cringeworthy.
agreed, i love how he puts Larry or Jim in place when they are wrong!! best commentators are always former boxers!

agree. on top of that, he sounds like he enjoys what he is doing and cares about the fighters and how they use ThEIR style...u dont hear the underlying moaning for always needing a brawl like u do with Merchant. hes optimistic about it and it comes across on the broadcasts exactly and he has the knowledge in side the ring also helps
He knows what's up
