I thought I read it was more than 6 mill.
Don't care much anyway.
Nope. Manny made $6 million. Shane made $3.9 million.
Fact.
Those were the guarantees.
remember pac has political aspirations and a second job as a congressman. it would be difficult to do his management aswell. plus money is not everything. he already has more he'll ever need, unless he goes on a major spending spree, which i doubt it will happen.15 mil is a helluvalot of money for a person living in the phillipines.
Then why is everyone on his team arguing about money and getting into fistfights?
Why did Roach say that he was worried?
Pacquiao has the star power to be his own boss and not give up so much of his purse. But he chooses not to, some may call it loyalty, others may call it stupidity.remember pac has political aspirations and a second job as a congressman. it would be difficult to do his management aswell. plus money is not everything. he already has more he'll ever need, unless he goes on a major spending spree, which i doubt it will happen.15 mil is a helluvalot of money for a person living in the phillipines.
If that is true then I smell an Arum robbery, no way unless the numbers seriously tanked should Pac be doing under 10 mil a fight. .
Maybe this is why Manni hired the steroid distributor to be his accountant
I think the point he was trying to make was "Why would Arum lie about how much Manny was making, 20 mil but really making 6 mill"
Just that simple fact to me lets me know not to believe a word Arum says about ANYTHING!
Arum upsells EVERYTHING, so how am I to trust what he says about why Floyd and Manny have/are not fighting.
Posted this in another forum...
I see floyd, I see Paq, I see Arum comments...So copy\paste below
I could care less about how much each fight makes, it doesn't affect me at all...They make their money, great for them-we get to see the fight that everyone has been talking about for years...
If it is true that Mannys contract is up, that would be positive for us fight fans...Everyone knows (or should know) it is Arum that is trying to avoid staging the fight...
Mayweather Promotions works with Golden Boy...If Mannys contract is up, it would be wise to work with (not sign with) Golden Boy to get the fight made...
Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions with cooperation from Golden Boy Promotions...
Let GBP take over all the promoting of the fight, getting the press conferences together, and all the fine details to get things rolling...They get their cut of the $$$ to stage the biggest fight of the decade, the fight that everyone (although we are all getting tired of the bull****) wants to see...
Both fighters get the money they should, without Arum trying to leach every possible penny for the fight to add to his bank account...
Manny and Floyds promotional companies would not be able to stage a fight this big by themselves...We all know Arum would rather stage Paq with another stiff so he can make his millions...Add GBP to Manny and Floyds promotional companies, let them take care of promotions...
win\win\win by all parties
Manny gets much more money than he ever has since he has been with Bob Ascum
Floyd gets his usual (much more actually), which is much more than fighters that are not running their own promotion
Split it 50\50, take the tests, and lets get this fight on...
That is the only way, and the best way for both fighters IMO...
As long as Arum is involved, the fight won't happen...He already has fighters lined up to face Manny after the JMM fight (ie. Bradley, Mike Jones, and who knows who else)
Take Arum out of the picture and the fight is made...Let GBP take care of the promotions and buildup, and we have a fight...
Both fighters are ready to go, now that dinosaur needs to visit the rest of his kind and become extinct...
The better question would be: Why do you care?
I don't worry about the money my neighbor is making. And he's close enough to kill me. Why would I worry about the money a fighter I'll never meet is making?
If Floyd Mayweather is making more money than any other fighter, it really doesn't mean much. It means that potentially he's fighting the better fighters on better dates. Maybe he's the bigger draw. Or.... maybe he's being overpaid. Maybe his opponents get less money.
Maybe.... just maybe... it really doesn't ****ing matter and both he and Pacquiao will make the same money and that's all there is to it. Just a WACKY, little thought.
And yes, that's what this is all about. Don't try and spin it any other way. I think the point he was trying to make was "Why would Arum lie about how much Manny was making, 20 mil but really making 6 mill"

Is that because the PPV was a failure?
As you see, Showtime never released the numbers, and the Manni-Mosley 24/7 was the lowest rated show on TV.
The PPV was not a failure- between 1.3 and 1.4 million. Pretty good for a fight that no one wanted to see.
The low ratings for Fight Camp 360 are from comments made by De La Hoya, pre-rehab.
Manny made a 20 million purse for the fight, plus a percentage of the ppv fights. The 6 million dollars was mentioned by Floyd. Of course he'll low ball any number. Still, given that Pacquiao needs to pay Top Rank, a portion to Golden Boy, Freddie, sanctioning bodies, other hangers-on, the purse does get reduced. It happens to all fighters.
So Manny takes for 8 to 10 million of a 20 million dollar purse. That hardly seems like a problem to me. Then there's ppv coming on top of that. Other fighters get paid a million or two and also see their purses reduced- and no extra ppv as well.
At the end of the day, Manny is rolling in it. Floyd is rolling in it. Good for them. Time to fight.
well 6 million is even too much..he fought floyds leftover and an old one too lol...but arum is raping pac...but at the same time he's giving him cherry pick matches so they both do sh** for each other lol

Great Post!
It means he got a better deal from TR. Arum however, asked for all the parties involved to keep quiet about the deal so he could maintain his 27% cut on other boxers.
Makes sense to you?
Bob Arum raped Manny Pacquiao like the Lady Boy he is :lol1:
PPV guarantees aren't guarantees but in this instance we'll never really know. They probably fleeced Mosley.
The promoter carries the entire bill of a fight. That's why fighters need them. Top Rank guaranteed Pacquiao 20M regardless of whether PPV makes this much or not. They gave Pacquiao a "floor". If the PPV generates more revenue, Pacquiao in this instance can get even more. If the PPV gets less than 20M, Top Rank will still owe Pacquiao the 20M. Given experience, Top Rank has a pretty good measure of how much a fight will make.
pac's portion of his purse goes to his MP promotions which of course is subject to business taxation meaning you can deduct expenses from the total earnings and only the net profits will be taxed. on the other hand, his purse as a fighter will be taxed outright on its totality. if you think about it, that's a smart and legal way to minimize tax.
Pacquiao's official purse was $6 million on the Nevada contract but he was guaranteed $20 million from by Top Rank because of PPV.

Pac was GUARANTEED AT LEAST 20 million. The PPV did 1.3 million and at 60 bucks a pop thats 78,000,000. Pac probably walked away with at least 40 million because everybody knows hes the only reason anybody bought that PPV.
Don't know, but I think it was Gary Shaw that said Top Rank has the most expensive contract.
Ever wonder why Pacquiao didn't just start promoting himself, like Floyd did when he left Top Rank?

welcome back Gino!!! please stick around and post more!!! the truth hurts these babies.
:haha: So funny to see clowns clutching at straws for anything to hate or try to bring the champ down.
If the truth is that Pac only made $6 million from the Mosley fight (before taxes, fees, etc) then someone should've told him and his accountant before this happened:
Manny Pacquiao has reportedly bought another house. This time in Forbes Park, the ritziest address in the Philippines. The Forbes Park house is reportedly worth P388 million (around US$9 million)! According to a report by Spot.ph, the new house is located in Cambridge Circle with a lot area of 1,500 square meters. Formerly owned by a prominent businessman, Manny and Jinkee reportedly had their eyes on the property for quite some time now, with Pacquiao vowing to buy the house when he received his paycheck from his fight against Shane Mosley. Pacquiao reportedly earned a minimum of $20 million from that bout.
Aside from this latest purchase, Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinkee already own several houses – at least two mansion in General Santos Cit, another one in Sarangani, a couple of homes in Laguna where they currently live, a house in Dasmarinas Village and the well-publicized home in California.

Forbes might have something to say on the matter as well. But please, don't mind me. Carry on.
