they obviously were joking, but did they reveal a part of their strategy..?
just rewatched wlad-sanders, a short fight, but nonetheless wlad only landed 1 jab. Im not about to re-watch wlad-ibra, but as i recall, wlad had trouble establishing his jab and surely wasnt as dominatnt with it, as he usually is against orthodox fighters.
perhaps they spotted a weakness or a way to confuse wlad.
has haye previously fought as a southpaw or tried switchhitting..?
would be a risky and bold move. Haye Does have the speed and athleticism to do it and could also be a way to control wlads jab and reach advantage.
I thought about this whilst watching some of Wlad's old fights. He couldnt see left hands coming at all against Sanders. Against Ibragimov and Tony Thompson, he seemed more concerned with pushing their right hands down with his left hand rather than actually using his left jab.
Whether Haye would try something so radical in his biggest fight ever is very questionable though.
