“Despite winning a unanimous decision by an overwhelming margin, headlines such as
‘Brilliant Pacquiao’s Prime Is Being Squandered,’
‘Hum-drum Pacman,’ and
‘Up Next For Pacquiao: Do We Care?’
greeted the pound-for-pound king at the breakfast table.”

About what? Because, close fights that can go either way can't be called robberies or gift decisions? :lol1: You can't be taken serious if you believe that.
Using this logic. We can say that everybody that Floyd has fought up to Castillo has been on the "down slide" of their career right? I mean if we use the "what have they done since or before"
Save face? About what? I didn't know it was a big secret that I'm a Pac fan? Yes it is my sig. You're right...How did you figure that I have Pac on my sig? You're a modern day real life Sherlock Holmes. And, if I ride Pac strap because I asked a question that you have yet been able to answer. Then by all means I ride his strap.
There was nothing close about either of those fights. That's why I can't take you seriously.
There's a difference... Mayweather fought those guys coming off impressive wins. Stop riding Pac, it certainly doesn't help your stance and it makes you look terrible, hence why you can't be taken seriously. Save face.
For one, Berto wouldnt draw flies to the arena.. Shane was a household name that sold... Dont get me wrong, I wasnt excited for the fight but it would of sold WAAAAAY more PPVs then Pac vs. Berto..
and now that Ortiz beat Berto, do you really think Pac vs. Berto would of been a serious challenge to Pac? I mean really, Shane ran he whole night and was said to "Go out gunz blazing".. Would Berto still be coming forward and attacking once he gets tagged by Pac?
Oh so it's about what sells, now...There's no more "people champ" he turned into Mayweather "if it don't make dollars, then it don't make sense" wow...What a great champ...I thought he wanted to give the fans great fights...When did his mindset change?
It doesn't if Berto was a challenge or not. He was in his prime, had a title, and was ranked higher than Mosley. And, at then it would have been a better fight than the snooze fest that we had instead.
So yes you can and should blame Pac for picking on a shot to pieces fighter. I blame him. Nobody else deserves the blame but him.
Why not Berto? Who not only had a title but was rank higher than Mosley at the time. And, was prime not shot to pieces like Mosley.
So what that Mosley was "shot" against Floyd? What does that have to do with Pac? Why are you comparing Pac and Floyd? Is this your way of saying that Floyd is as great if not greater than Pac? Because, there's no other reason for you to compare Pac to a "lesser" fighter.
And, even if Shane was "juiced up" for Pac. What different does that make when he's shot to pieces? Being on PED's won't help a shot fighter.
So yes I blame Pac and everybody should blame Pac for picking a shot to pieces fighter.

PAC is catching all of this grief because he's suppose to be an all-time great... And when you couple all off this with the lackluster fights, that most boxing scribes, boxers, oddsmakers, his own coach and the majority of boxing fans (PAC fans included) had him picked as easily winning.
...and YES, it's his fault... He's far from this naive humble character that he portrays himself as. He knows perfectly well what he's been doing... And it's cool... He's getting paid, really paid... He's growing his brand... He's avoiding real challenges and people have grown tired of it... It really has zero to do with PBF... PAC could have shut him up a long time ago... But "HE" chose not to... Plain and simple...simple and plain... "HE" chose not to... There are real challenges that he could have taken, they might not have brought the money and whether he lost or not he would have been showered the accolades... Fighting Martinez for even if he lost he would have come out on top... And it would have forced PBF to fight Martinez or everyone would have called him a coward because the little man did and he didn't try... But if he would have won!!! OMG... He would have become friggin immortal.
If I were fortunate enough to advise him, Id tell him to hold a news conference, drop the court case, call out martinez agree to test and say screw you PBF... Because I think PBF will only fight once per year not because he's scared but because he doesn't want to pay to much in taxes... And plus, PBf has mega fight options for the next two years - Khan @ 147 in the UK in 2012 (I've been watching them line this fight up for some time now) and Saul Alvarez in 2013 @ 154. Just a hunch and both of those fights would allow PBF to get a 50 million dollar paycheck.
Who was Pac suppose to fight considering Floyd wasnt picking up the phone? Who were Pacs chooses at Welterweight seriously? Berto NOPE, Mike Jones NOPE...
Mosley was shot when Pac fought him and was shot when Floyd fought him.. No different...
But we can raise the question "Did Shane juice up against Pac considering Shane wasnt OST tested".. That question is debatable.. or was Shane dehydrated when Floyd fought him cause Shane did look weak during the 247

Blame Shane for talking the talk and not walking the walk.. SHANE RAN ALL NIGHT, Even the ShowTime commentators told it how it was, "SHANE LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO HIDE" and they were ringside..

Okay you caught me just looking up who was the last undisputed champ at 147.
But thats where the problem lies. Pac's name alone is big enough for him to make unification fights put bums on seats and it would be a good build up to a possible Floyd-Pac fight.
The IBF strap with Jan Zaveck and the WBA strap Senchenko owns. Thats a Slovenian and a Ukrainian. Could give those guys big fights on the East coast.
Two good fights in Madison Square Garden that would boost Pac's credibility and make him look a lot better than these fights he's been having since well some would say Clottey but I enjoyed the Margarito fight.
I just think Pac's schedule this year could be a lot better than Ole Man Moseley and the Urinator.
To be fair, Spinks did unify when he fought Mayorga.
Anyways...I'm not saying I disagree. I'm not so sure about fighting Zaveck and/or Senchenko. Maybe those were better than the Marg fight. I always thought he should have fought P-Will or Berto in this spot.
But, now doubt he should have unified against Berto instead of fighting Mosley.
his biggest known win was against a shot dlh, and it's basically when his bandwagon started, so obviously he's going to be heavily criticized. he's blown every opponent out ever since though, so it is what it is, there will always be those who criticize him. he's done enough imo at his lighter weights to be considered one of the greatest fighters of this generation, and that's exactly what he'll be in history...
Again, I can't take you seriously.
About what? Because, close fights that can go either way can't be called robberies or gift decisions? :lol1: You can't be taken serious if you believe that.
Also, "on the down slide of their careers..." What have DLH, Mosley, Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, and Clottey done since Pacquiao? What do they do in the fight(s) before fighting Pacquiao.
Using this logic. We can say that everybody that Floyd has fought up to Castillo has been on the "down slide" of their career right? I mean if we use the "what have they done since or before"
You clearly ride Pacquiao's strap. It's your sig... just hone up to the fact that you're a die hard Pacquiao fan instead of trying to play fan of the sport. Save face, you look terrible right now.

Zab Judah unified 147. Manny Pacquiao should have the balls to step up and do that.
147 is Manny's top limit. He can't go any higher.
To be fair, Judah didn't unify the division. He won the belts in just one fight against Cory Spinks. It was Cory Spinks who unified the division. And, for the record Judah didn't have the "balls" to fight Margarito who held the other strap. He straight up said he wanted none of Margarito.
I don't know.
And, that's obvious.
And, LOL @ you changing the subject.
What I do know is that Mosley shouldn't have to beg a P4P fighter that's in his weight class for the chance to fight. We know that he was denied because he still had an element of danger to him. More than Top Prank and Freddie the joke coach Roach deemed suitable. He represented too much of a danger. That's why Max Kellerman put him on blast, Roach admitted it. We all know bruh. It's no secret. Manny's chumpin' out right now and he just got called out in front of the whole world. I'm still waiting to hear from Bob Arum on behalf of Nanny Quack-Meow and Top Prank Inc. It's been 2 days and mum's the word? They're doing conference calls with Rios and Antillon but no mentions of PBF? Don't clam up now.
What exactly is it that you want to hear? Especially since both fighters have a fight coming up in September/November.
Now anybody who thinks Collazo and Clottey won the respective fights is fine by me. But, the poblem is you making it sound like they were robberies and that's far from true.
And, anybody who thinks those fights were robberies or gift decisions can't be take serious.
Also since when does a lose reflect being down hill....Not saying that they weren't. But, it's that the only proof you have? And, does that mean that credit shouldn't be given to Pac for beating them?
Again Hopkins is not the same from what he was years ago. Should Dawson not get credit for that respective win?
Or is down hill comes only to play when it concerns Pacquiao?
Again, I can't take you seriously.

The Cotto who Pac fought is much better than Mosley who came to Wildcard. Cotto beat him already remember. If Pac choose to fight Mosley first instead of Cotto, haters will say he ducked Cotto who beat Mosley. Pac no matter who he fights, the haters will always find negative things to say for the sake of hating.
This magazine has been pro pac for years now. Did you read the article? The manny fight with Shane was $65 for high def HD broadcast. The fight was about as bad as DEvon Alexander vs Tim Bradly.
Horrendous Horrendous fight for that price tag. It goes onto explain how that fight due to the exposure to layman fans (not hard core) could turn them off of boxing. it was a terrible fight. So who do you put o the cover, the boxer who should have Won in spectacular fashion, pac man
You can't put a picture of Bob Arum on ring magazine... though I would have.
the article is pretty non bias and poignant talking about expectations and results of the fight. Once you read threw it all makes sense. They are being pretty honest threw and threw they even talk about Money May and his problems in court.
moron ring mag is under Oscar delahoya's GoldenBoy firms..... do you think floyd like that???? lol
Manny has been fighting retirement homes and guys on the down slide of their careers since early 2008. Its about time someone takes notice.
Wrong! Floyd retired in 2008-2009 to avoid the Ring top 4 welterweights younger Mosley, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito.
as a pac fan I am disappointed but do see the logical $$ making sense. do you really think any other fighter could help generate the PPV numbers? huge names like cotto, cheato, and sour mosley? before these fights. the threads and argument was he deserves a break after all the wars he was in. so he takes a break while leading the way on PPV sales and he gets people pissing and moaning. he transcended the dieing sport and made headlines everywhere.
give me one fighter you think he could hit well over the 1mil mark.
tim bradley, who might not even be able to win against khan and had a boring ass fight against alexander? ortiz prior to the berto fight? berto, the one everyone is now saying was a hype job and mosley would still win that fight? sergio martinez 2 weight classes above or if they fight at a catch weight....the same bull**** excuses? just like everyone has excuses for floyd fights. there's an excuse for everything.
cant please everyone.
Margarito was caught cheating, destroyed by Mosley, looked bad, weak, slow, and past his prime in his comeback fight. Obviosuly past his best days when Pac fought him. And a bull**** catchweight too.
Mosley has been past his prime for years but Pac fought him way past his prime after Shane looked his age vs Mora.
Pac's last 2 fights he gets no credit from me.
