At what point in the fight will Ortiz lose all hope and stop trying?

I like Vic a lot but I agree with this post. It will not take that long until he realizes that Mayweather is very hard to hit. After a few rounds of missing and getting countered and countered hard you will see his confidence drop greatly. I think Floyd will finish this one when that happens. I reckon he wants to make a statement here. It wouldnt surprise me if this was over around the 7th.

It will play out like Ricky Hatton. Some early success, Floyd will be uncomfortable under the pressure, and then he will move up a few gears and slowly, systematically take Ortiz apart. Possibly even a late quitage(I should copyright that word)/stoppage. I don't agree with the Ricky Hatton comparison. Ortiz is bigger and stronger than Mayweather whereas Mayweather was bigger and stronger than Hatton. Also I think Hatton was mostly an in-fighter, lacking in boxing skills and with short arms, and Ortiz is a more skilled boxer than Hatton. I definitely think this fight is much more winnable for Ortiz than the Hatton fight was him. Floyd has not been really tested for so long that too much is being taken for granted.

PPL that compare the JWW Ortiz to the WW Ortiz have a low IQ in boxing. The compubox stats show Ortiz doubling his punch output and he didn't fetigue for the 12 rounds he kept going against Berto. Compubox clearly shows that Ortiz is a much better fighter at WW. I didn't even expect Ortiz to throw and land that many punches against Berto. I saw him increasing output but not by that much. PPL want Ortiz to lose cuz they wanna see Pac beat May and cuz Mayweather fans wanna see May beat Pac. Unfortunately I think Mayweather is gonna bite more than he can chew on. Mayweather hasn't faught anyone younger than 36 years of age since the Hatton fight 5 years ago. Ortiz is on a roll and I think he's beating Mayweather and Pacquiao. The funny thing is I knew Ortiz would fight either one guaranteed! Victor Ortiz was a GBP project for years all they needed to do was have him win a belt. Open your eyes ppl lol So he's gonna win purely by punch output? How about the skill level between these two fighters? Berto wasn't countering Ortiz all night long so he was able to keep going and going. Sure he landed some huge shots here and there, but Mayweather is a counter puncher and a very defensive fighter who's hard as hell to hit and accurate as hell. This is coming from a person who likes Ortiz way more than Mayweather. If Ortiz can pull this off, it will make my day come fight night, but I'm just being real here. Mayweather is gonna school this guy.

Right after he punches air and and gets countered right to his face. By then he will be like "Oh **** this guy is untouchable."

By round 4 or 5 vic will be completely demoralised.

i think ortiz is gonna get beatin by floyd and possibly stopped by tko because of floyds accuracy. im gonna say the ref jumps in and stops it at the 10th or 11th.

I dont see Vic quitting against Mayweather at all but i do see him being picked apart pretty badly. If he was in against Manny i think he would probably get ktfo or not come out of his corner after a few rounds.
