Is Ortiz a big WW?

Ortiz reminds me of Vargas. Hes only 24 and on fight night weights over 160. He won't be at 147 very long.

The size difference between Floyd and JMM was definitely greater than that between Floyd and V.O. Marquez is a LW. Durr. Floyd is about two inches taller than Manny, Victor is two inches taller than Floyd. Manny and Floyd are similar in walking weight, Victor is much larger.

All you have to do is look at the pictures of the two together, Victor is CLEARLY bigger, to suggest otherwise is so ridiculous I dont even know what to say. I disagree, Clottey was bigger than Ortiz. Ortiz might be bigger or same size as Cotto. But, I never heard anybody mention Cotto as being a big WW. No. He is at least the same build as Cotto, only at least three inches taller. He is clearly a lot bigger than Cotto. Who is now fighting at 154.

Like Kermit or Baldomir? He looked very big today and vs Berto. I work at Starbucks here in Ventura, and Ortiz has come in a few times. I can tell you right now, he is a HUGE WW. Meeting him in person, I am five nine and a solid stocky 180, and he seemed like a big kid when I met him. Solid, sturdy kid.

He's a Mosley sized Welter, may be just a tad bit heavier than the average Mosley (147lbs) fight night weight though. He's shorter than Oscar, and not nearly as big as Margs, Cintron, Williams, Tito, or Hearns; these guys were big Welters.

for the berto fight he re-hydrated to almost 156 so I would say that he is bigger than average. I thought he re-hydrated to 165, I'd say Victor is a huge welterweight and b/c of his youth and athleticism he's more dangeorus at welterweight than junior welterweight.
