Matthysse= A Better Version of Maidana

I don't know who would win but I know its one of the best fights that can be made in all of boxing. Mattysse put Alexander on his ass for the first time ever, professionally, in the amatures and even in sparring. EVER.

Matthysse is better technically, but Maidana has a stronger will. Maidana would not have let Alexander off so easy in the last round.

I would love to see these two guys fight. It would be non stop action from bell to bell. I think Matthysse wins a UD in one helluva fight.

People underrate Maidana so much it's ridiculous. I'm guessing it's because of the Morales fight. Just because he isn't a pretty fighter doesn't make him incompetent. He's smarter and more accurate then people give him credit for. Always lands the looping right. How? Always throws different punches and lands more as the fight goes on. How? Not to mention his power and heart are unmatched. Bugs me that people want everyone to be Floyd Mayweather to be considered good. ...exactly!

Maidana is a heavier puncher with a much meaner attitude. Maidana is designed to not let Alexander type fighters hug for dear life and that will (and has) earn him more victories. Head to head? If Maidana can take his punches I see him taking a decision.

And he's much more sharp and accurate with his punches than Maidana.

matthyse is better than maidana and khan is better than devon ! BUT i still think devon has a gd chin , khan does not ! styles make fights ... lucas vs marcos = foty

I would love to see this fight, would be a war and i give the slight edge to Maidana but i wouldn't care who won because us Boxing fans would be the real winner.

Matthysse needs to do what Martinez did. Start to finish his fights with KO's when he has the opportunity. He (Matthysse) is right on the door step of putting it all together as a top notch caliber type fighter. Now Devon won by home town decision. He needs to step his game up seriously if he wants to contend with upper class fighters from this point forward.

Maidana is in another good fight. Maidana have been fighting better opposition from Victor Ortiz, Amir Khan, to Erik Morales. Still Matthysse vs Maidana is a good fight to make outside of Maidana vs Pacquiao. :boxing:

I'm telling ya Matthysse vs. Maidana is a dream fight. It's gonna be FoTY if it happens. When I saw the judges say 96-93 Alexander, I knew this would be another Judah relapse.

i agree he's much better technically than maidana.

You know what, though? Maidana would never have let Devon finish the fight. He let Khan finish and Amir is what the British call 'chinny'.
