toney most def is a HOF. a true throw back fighter. testign postitive for a band substance dont mean you tested positive for Performance enhancing drug. there are plenty of things that are banned but do nothing to help you performance wise. so throwing that in his face when not knowing wth half you guys are talking about is crazy and disrespectful. lots of drugs have steroids in them not every steroid is incredible hulk smash roids. the drugs toney used were ment to help him heal injuries to be prepared to fight. diuretics are banned and you can test positive for them but they do nothing but help you shed water weight. so if someoen test for that you dumb asses are gonna be like he was cheating. stfu. toney won and lost his fights fair. he was robbed twice vs griffen and vs petter 1. toney never ducked anyone. and if he had the lifestyle of a hopkins or floyd he would prob be the best ever. if kotsza tsyzu is HOF then toney is by a long run. and im a fan of tsyzu but toney accomplished by far more than he has.

Yea he gets in, I don't think he would have to be a first ballot guy but he is certainly a top guy from his era. There are certain reason he could be made to wait though bad loses, poor attitude toward the media (putting an old man in a neck brace) and steroid use. Eventually though I think he should get in.

And his popularity rested mostly on the eyes of some hardcore boxing fans. Still, if Mosley is bound for Hall of Fame then why can't James Toney. Probably the answer lies within the boundaries of never admitting in using it and then asking for forgiveness. Mosley went through the whole process ridiculed, banned, fined, admitted, and then asked for forgiveness. The humiliation and lose of potential money making fights were enough to punish Mosley. James Toney different story. He seems angry whenever I listen to his interviews about him not getting proper respect or adoration from the public. It is probably because of what he had done and what he has not, yet, done. No, James Toney ain't going to the Hall of Fame for a while he might even be forgotten. Honestly, outside of hardcore boxing fans who knows James Toney? Mike Tyson is known by everyone both by casual fans and hardcore boxing fans. I read all of it, and it was lal hilariously misinformed. first off, Nunn was not dominating Toney. Only people who havent seen the fight say that. Toney had his moments throughout the whole fight, and had started rocking Nunn prior to the 11th round, particularly in the 10th. nothing lucky about the stoppage at all, especially considering there was another round and a half to go and Nunn's day was ****ed up. Saying that Barkley was a better win than Nunn, McCallum and Johnson is amazingly dumb. Nunn and McCallum are outstanding wins. Both of the Montell Griffin loses are considered to be robberies, or at the very least most people had Toney winning both. Toney did try to get fights with Benn and Eubank, theres a video of him calling them both out on television. Add in that he deserved to beat Sam Peter as well. i agree. and i didn't say he ducked benn and eubank , but i think these two fights not happening left his legacy at sm pretty hollow , and of course the loss to jones... deserved to beat sam peter , but didn't . and looked bad in the rematch
