While I like the suspense at the end of the fights there always seems to be at least one judge with a horrible score reflection of the fight. I feel that it would put the judges on the spot during the fight and help eliminate bad judges or just ones on the take.
I'm absolutely all for putting a judge that has made a horrendous decision on live television and asking them what the hell they were thinking. These incompetent and corrupt judges need to be put on the spot.
Really? I'd rather stick my head in a microwave then listen to Chuck Giampa bumble his way through why he thought Montiel's ring generalship was more effective than Arce's effective aggression. It would be a waste of time. Wouldn't you rather see undercard highlights or maybe a thoughtful preview of upcoming fights? Cool thing about boxing is you dont have to agree with the official decision and are free to make up your own mind.
Can anyone think of a bad decision that really effected the loser in a negative way? Not that it hasn't happened, but I cant think of any off the top of my head. There has to be cases when a fighter gets screwed on the cards via homecooking, then never gets a crack at a world class fighter again.
Well if they do the should put it on the screen for open debate amongst the analyst and not wait until the end where they can group their scores together and run out the arena and all you hear from the analyst "I don't know what fight he was watching!". Bad judges need to be held accountable. I am not saying all judges are bad but their is always one in the bunch.

They tried it and it changed nothing. Finding good referees has always been a problem. I think they should evauluate referees constantly and put them on a list for bad decisions. That should be on their record for the rest of their career. After a couple questionable calls they should be blacklisted.
the judge who scored round 12 in hopkins taylor 1 for taylor
the judge who scored the last round in pascal dawson for pascal
the judge who scored 11 rounds for williams in williams martinez 1
the 2 other judges in williams martinez 1 who gave the first round to williams
modern day heroes!
Or maybe just have open scoring at the end of each round because you know shady sh!t is going down when they take long to "collect" the scorecards.
Anyway it shouldn't be a surprise to you who won if you watched the fight and scored it properly.
Open scoring is horrible. It killed what was on its way to becoming fight of the year material in Bell/Mormeck 2, after revealing the score at the end of the 8th. Without open scoring, Mormeck may have to hold his ground a bit longer and its possible the same thing happens as in the first fight. The 1st 8 rounds were damn good.
Btw- both fights have become pretty underated.

If you notice, at the end of each round, the ref goes to the judges and collects the scores from them and then passes them to someone who is in charge of keeping the score.
