Can Saul Alvarez really make 147?

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else. He is a solid 154 and is still growing. He won’t be going down in weight class.

That would make Pac a legitimate 154 pound champion...I think it will snow in hell before we would see that fight. id agree, never in a million years would that happen. but Saul is the real deal and Pacman would get serious probs if he ventured to 154 to meet him, even though he is inexperienced

I keep hearing he's a possible opponent for Pacquiao, and it's pretty clear Pac won't be returning to 154 (well, 150...), so surely this means Canelo would have to make 147. i dont think he can make it.. he'll be lookin like de la hoya from the pac fight if he goes down. plus he's got his hands full in his division (lots of great possible fights). if they really want to make a pac fight happen, and fair, gbp should say no less than 154. The kids back alone is welterweight. No more weights para Canelo.

Don't see it happening if he could he would be fighting there now

He was 165 on fight night. He's just outgrown 147. He'll be a real big 154 fighter 1 year from now.

Alvarez can't go down. His body is still growing. He will be fighting at MW by 2012

i think it will be very hard! right now he could do this but remember he is only 20 and is a solid 154 pounder! a few years from now he will be a middleweight
