do lot of people hate khan ( mostly in the uk ) because of his ethnicity /religion?

i mean ,the guy dosen't get that unconditional support that british fighters get from the fans , like haye for example , ( who is more arrogant than khan , disrespectful , not very active a s a fighter, cherry picks , avoided wlad for two years etc... ) people hate on him all the time on internet forum , more than any british boxers , it's seems like he always needs to earn " their respect " before a certain fight , as if winning a world title after a brutal knockout , fighting the biggest puncher in the division , and trying to fight the number one in the division is not enough to earn it . and also the thing with sky , who refused to show his fights for no obvious logical reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOigV3R3gFo his full fight with maidana on youtube : 698 likes , 153 dislikes ...too much dislikes for a fight like that don't you think ?

Khan is more popular than the white Carl Froch in Britain that is a simple fact. There are people that dislike Khan because of his religion but that is not restricted to British people, this can also be largely attributed to the demonization of Islam in the western mass media this undoubtedly causes discrimination. I don’t know why people seem to have this misconception that England is a racist place well in reality it has some of the most multicultural cities on earth. Side note Khan doesn’t get stopped and questioned because of his name and ethnicity for hours at a time when he returns to the UK unlike when he visits America.

my guess would be that it's because of his unibrow and him sounding like an idiot everytime he opens his mouth. i dont even think he's that exciting of a fighter most of the time. but i dont live in the UK so i mostly just wanted to rant...about his brow and sloppy amateur style.

Im friends with quite a few casual boxing fans and we always watch most Uk fight together and most of them like Khan but the ones that dont it usually stems from when they felt they were getting conned by his earlier fights Warren was putting on when Khan wasnt taking the challenges he is today. Some of the guys accept this and now respect what he's doing and are back on the bangwagon, some of the other guys feel they know the chin is going to let him down so intead of jumping on the bandwagon they would rather take the "i told you so" approach and keep clear of supporting Khan. I suppose he is a little like Mayweather in that people either love him or hate him but either way he draws attention and puts bums on seats to either see him win or get beaten

I really can't understand why people keep saying he's cocky, he's no more cocky than most boxers and he's certainly less cocky than Haye or Froch. He's actually the most liked boxer in the UK, it's just those that don't like him seem to REALLY hate him. I suspect that much of it has to do with ethnicity and religion sadly.
