Anyone else think Haye/Klit fight can break PPV record?

What is the UK record? Hatton - Mayweather? Yes, and it was 1.2 million, at £14.95 a pop.

I'd imagine the bulk of the money is going to come from the UK PPV. The only PPV money will come from the UK, but if you mean the bulk of the total worldwide revenue, the UK PPV will be a small proportion of that. The TV licensing fee to more than 100 countries, plus the gate receipts (around a 60,000 live gate is expected); plus the worldwide sponsorship, plus merchandising, all put together, is worth a lot more than one or even two million Sky PPV viewers paying £14.95 a shot, especially as Sky will keep a fairly large percentage of that £14.95, whereas the other revenues I mentioned mostly go to the promoters and fighters.

I thought the Klits get a flat-fee from the German networks. I'd imagine the bulk of the money is going to come from the UK PPV. Even then, who knows how well it would do. Haye has been getting his mug out there on chat shows and this that and the other, but y'know it's not like he's Lennox. Casual fans knew Lennox was the best heavyweight in the world watching him was an event. And in the case of Tyson. Well, that's fookin Tyson. I can't see it doing as well over here as say Mayweather/Hatton. Everyone in the UK knows that Haye is fighting for the real world Heavyweight title and that he's the first British fighter to do so since Lewis. Even Haye-Valuev got 800k PPV sales in the UK, when Haye was far less known in the UK than he is now. I'm sure Haye-Wlad will do far better than that did and should do a lot better than Hatton-Mayweather did, because of the historical glamour of the Heavyweight division and of having the recognised world champion at that weight. (And a lot people in the UK are buying into the hype that Haye will "save" the heavyweight division, which is ridiculous given that he plans to retire this year, but still, they do buy into it.)

And it should easily break the UK PPV record, but that's only 1.2 million (which is less impressive than it sounds in any case, in terms of receipts, because Sky PPV only costs £14.95, as opposed to $50 in the US). By comparison, it's likely to get around 30 million free to air viewers in Germany and far more than that in the rest of Europe combined (counting Russia as part of Europe). It should also get well over a million free to air viewers in the US. But in terms of worldwide PPV sales including the US, it won't come close to breaking any PPV records, because it's only on UK PPV, and is free to air everywhere else. It could possible break viewing figure records in Europe, but that's impossible to measure, AFAIK.

PPV is mainly a US thing, considering its not being shown on PPV in USA. Then a big fat NO, even if it was being shown here on PPV it wouldnt do that much because its on at like 3pm EST.

It would break the records in germany yes, I think more germans already have watched Klit fight than Mayweather's best fight etc. He holds the record in German households watching TV it was in the millions. Actually I think that might of been Vitali but same thing, Wlad fighting Haye would probably break that Vitali record easily. Anyway who cares, the U.S. doesn't matter, Klit gets more views and more money in europe than any U.S. fighter gets here
