Don't believe it all you want. There are lots of guys especially in europe and asia who fight what they walk around at. Ward fought at 178 in the amateurs.
@ 2:50-3:10. why would he be lying?
Fair enough.
But he sure as hell looks like a solid MW.
At least compared to Ouma.
Jirov was an absolute beast in his prime if he has a career comprable and as exciting what would be wrong with that if he can take it and dish it out he'll be a box office attraction
Exactly sir! What would be wrong with that? Did I say anything bad?
I have a hard time believing that.
He's never fought below 160 and he fought at 165 as an amateur.

This reminds me of Jirov-Toney. Except Jirov was the southpaw. GGG fights like Jirov too.

Both of those comments are true and it's a god damn shame. He went from a 1st rate boxer to fighting like a mexican rock'em sock'em robot.
Hey maybe his Mexican trainer in Big Bear has something to do with that, i was kinda of dissapointed too, but you have to take into account that this was a Step up for him in the Pro ranks, he had never fight someone with the Caliber of Ouma, only Panamanian cab drivers.
This fight will awaken him I hope
Also the Mexican style has now the most World Champions and is the most exciting :fing02:

In that recent youtube interview Golovkin says he walks around at 161 lbs so no.
Korobov has been very watchable and exciting in every fight iv seen of his, throws more combinations, has no problem mixing it up, etc.
Same as above, neither is Golovkin.
In this fight he did and it was pitiful.
I just haven't been entertained by Korobov recently. Golovkin is relentless where Korobov can be plodding. Probably just growing pains. Talent wise, they're still right at the head of the class with the rising Middles.

I like his Mexican Style of Boxing! :D

Golovkin is also a natural 160 fighter, he KO Bute at 165 lbs and beat Dirrell at that weight too in the Amateurs.
Golovkin will destroy Rubio, Rubio doesn't have the chin he was stopped by Jantuah in 1 round and was decked by Canelo's older brother.

Look at who Golovkin has fought as a pro so far...this was a BIG step up fight and I thought it was good for him. Quality rounds, contested at a high level, with film to study to get better. He's some work before he's ready to challenge someone like Martinez for the real World title but nothing wrong with that.
And, hey, he's watchable as hell. Much more so than the so far disappointing Korobov.

Ouma aint a natural 160 pound fighter.
You saw the size difference.
Ouma had his best years at 154.
Rubio's chin is solid Mr. Box rec.
Same as above, neither is Golovkin.
golovkin fights like a mexican,I like him:boxing:
In this fight he did and it was pitiful.
He was a linear world title defense at 160 for Jermain Taylor, after Taylor won the 160 title from Bernard Hopkins.
Than he went back to 154 to fight for 4 years.
He only went up for the title shot.
Jermain was on his little man tour.
Taylor fought Spinks after that.
So are we discounting the more recent and relevant fights with Pavlik, Lemuiex and Zertuche x2.
That Kofi fight was 7 years ago.
Didn't see the Alvarez fight. Couldn't have been too bad he got a TKO.
He got the TKO versus Alvarez because Alvarez was more exhausted than when Wlad was KO'd by Lamon Brewster
Alvarez put Rubio down and a shame that he couldn't finish the job because Rubio was out of this world and was saved by the bell
Also Zertuche is not the same that fought Pavlik, he's losing fights versus Mexican prospects right now.
#$@#$@#$@#$(@#$(@#($(@#$(@#($@#(($#@ I only watched FNF, completely forgot about this CARD FAAAAAWK. I love Golovkin, Boxrec shows 10TKO, was it a good fight? Gotta download me it to add to the collection
Hhaha what?
I saw those fights live, you should try to get a copy of Rigoberto Alvarez vs Rubio, if Alvarez didn't get so exhausted he would have finished Rubio that was saved by the bell.
And I was really dissapointed when Rubio was destroyed by Jantuah like that
don't forget Ouma beat Rubio
Hhaha what?

golovkin fights like a mexican,I like him:boxing:
Yeah he fights like a Mexican and he came in to the ring with something that look like a traje de charro hahaha
But he really reminds me of an orthodox Valero, even his face kind of look like Valero when he was fighting Mosquera in Panama (and like Golovkin also struggle in that fight)
GGG needs to take another step up after this jr prob out of the question after that battle also canelo so his most likely foe would be Rubio and that would be sick.
I didn't expect him to fight so much on the inside w/Ouma and yeah he got caught but that's what happens in inside fighting your not exactly out of harms way but he showed good cond. and grit to stand and bang.
However not ready for serg just yet his style could cause problems for him though if he can stay in his chest and nullify movement and ability to set and load up his timing power shots

I know a pressure fighters who lands big shots in every round is bound to wear any guy down, but he definitely needs more work on his defense, he took way too many shots...

Ditto!
Ouma had much more experience than GGG in the Pro ranks, they should work on a few things, and he will be ready
