Of course he is. He'd hold all but one title and the ring belt. That's what all this is about for gods sake, that's why Wladimir keeps refering to himself as 'the' heavyweight champ. "come and shake 'the' heavyweight champs hand" etc etc...
Obviously he won't be undisputed though, he'd have to beat Vitali to claim that. I personally wouldn't consider him a lineal champion either, despite his possession of the ring belt. But then I don't consider Wladimir the lineal champion right now. Again, Haye would need to beat Vitali for me to consider him lineal champ.
It's a shame for Vitali, because I think many, if not most fans consider him the best Heavy out there. He's chosen to gladly accept this number 2 role in the division to allow his little brother to prosper, but I think most of us know he'd still have the beating of Wlad and Haye, and not so long ago he'd have probably done them both at the same time.
Boxing can be a very strange sport sometimes. The summit of the current heavyweight division being a classic example.
Wlad is the top guy while Vitali is the 2nd guy, so if Haye who is currently ranked at number 3 beats the number 1 guy then he should be the number 1 guy, especially with all the belts involve.
of course he would be. Wladimir is the best Heavyweight in the world. barring a robbery or some odd DQ, as long as Haye beats Wladimir, he is the best HW in the world.
Although you probably cant say he is 'undisputed' since Vitali is around.
I concur. He would have to be having the majority of the belts. That's what unification is all about.
