Cotto isn't shot... it's absolutely absurd to even say so.
Either that, or you don't understand the definition of shot.
Past prime? Possible.. not at his best anymore? Probably.
Shot?
**** no.
marg beating him will mean even more than the first fight then
mosley or RJJ.
roy relied on speed and reflexes in his prime and now all thats gone, his legs and his chin is shot. áll thats left is a warrior spirit.
shane has more left physicly even though hes way past it too, shanes worst problem is that hes had the fight beat out of him. theres nothing worse than that.
cotto is in that same boat, he never mentally recovered from the margarito fight but his body is as good as ever. so as long as he fights overmatched or weak punchiung oponents he can still look great. any time he gets pushed he will fold though.
holyfield is physicly shot but hes still got a warrior spirit and excellent fundamentals which allows him to do better than most fighters would in his position.
margarito isnt shot, just slightly past his best. he was just overrated to begin with.
Definitely Jones…
It happens to all of us eventually. You get old and your skills deteriorate. It’s just part of being human and there isn’t any shame in it. It’s just too bad sometimes it’s the athletes themselves that are last ones to acknowledge it.
Agreed.
Do you think Roy is more shot than Evander Holyfield?
Yeah... in the sense that he's missing MOST of what he needs to be successful... Evander was never the fastest fighter, didn't rely on reflexes... just heart, strength, endurance, and the ability to overcome adversity... He's shot, but not compared to Roy.

Some of the names are debatable as far as being mentioned on the list, but it's mostly based on people's opinions here.
clearly is holyfield, jones and mosley.......margarito can still fight but i will say he is not too shot , cotto aint SHOT just because he lost to marg and pac all of a sudden he is shot? gtfo only difference with cotto is that he aint mentally the same and his technique is abit more safety nowadays instead of his earlier days aside from that he has a few more years until his prime goes, same for pavlik but i reckon another fight or two and if he still struggles at SMW then i reckon he is gone unless he goes back down to MW and performs better with say a new trainer and conditioner.
1.Shane Mosley
2.Roy Jones
3.Evander Holyfield
4.Antonio Margarito
5. James Toney
Those are the one I think are most shot active fighters in that order.
This is the thing with you Cotto stans. You just won't admit anything with Cotto that's negative, he's shot just like Margarito. Wait till you people see him with an elite, you'd know what I'm talking about.
Not a Cotto stan.
Cotto looked like a healthy, decent fighter vs. Mayorga and Foreman and maybe he won't look good when he fights elite. He might even get destroyed.
But Margo, beginning with the Mosley fight and the comeback fight looked physically shot.
His legs didn't look good in the Garcia fight.
Than he gets beaten to the ground and almost retired.
Margarito looks like a shot fighter. I think its a accumulation of both Cintron fights, The Cotto fight and Mosley fight.
Than add the Pac beating.
IMO
Jones is one of my Favs but as soon as he lost his reflexes he was completely shot imop. His reflexes was so key to his game even to his deceptive power. Didnt realize how much he relied on them to I saw him lose them.
I can dig it bro.Cotto,I wouldn't call shot. He's managed to win a title & defend it in a weight class greater fighters have visited & ran away from. That should be taken into account. If U put Pavlik in front of someone he doesn't have to go look for,he'd look like Pacman in there.Pavlik-Abraham ='s fight of the year.
Would actually REALLY like to see that! I wanted to see that a couple years ago too.
As I mentioned, some of the names are up for debate whether or not they're "shot" as I put names that have been mentioned along the lines of being shot (i.e. I personally don't think Cotto is shot). As far as all 3 of those guys facing one another, I don't see as to what would prevent them from being shot considering each went on to fight other fighters after their respective fights accumulating more damage.
