Looking at the answers in here, it's hard to see how anyone above or under welterweight has a chance in top 5. Makes no sense to me, though I agree that WW is the strongest division, I'd say SMW is number #2.
WW only has Pac and Floyd... Ortiz is the only other top boxer in it at the moment. 3 top boxers hardly makes it a strong and competitive division...
Super-Middleweight: Froch, Ward, Bute, Dirrell, Kessler, Stieglitz, Johnson, Green.
Bantamweight: Donaire, Moreno, Mares, Darchinyan, Agbeko, Perez, Montiel
Light-Welterweight: Khan, Bradley, Maidana, Judah, Alexander, Matthyyse
Lightweight: JMM, Guerrero, Rios, Soto, Katsidis.
Light-Heavyweight: B-Hop, Pascal, Dawson, Cloud, Cleverley.
Those are all more competitive and entertaining divisions than Welterweight. Until Floyd and Manny fight, Welterweight is irrelevant.

Can't be mad at ya list tbh,we only differ with a few fighters..So I guess the winner of Froch Ward entersya P4P list huh..Can't be mad at that..
they'll probably enter at 8 at worst...then if that guy beats bute we're looking at 5ish
Adamek will probably be out after he fights vit...
Pac
Floyd
Sergio
Nonito
JMM
Bradley
The Pong
Wlad

sorry but disagree with bradley not top ten IMO surely b-hop or vitali have to be above bradley?
I know Bradley is getting a lot of hate right now(esp from UK fans)and hey everyone is welcome to their own opinion..But Bradley is undefeated and a two time unified Champ not to mention the num 1 fighter at Jr WW so I believe he shoule be over B-Hop and Vitali at the moment..Vitali I don't believe has ever unified and B-Hop just made his way back to my list with his win over Pascal..
I think my list is fair tbh, buthey its just my opinion..
My list..
1.Pac
2.Martinez
3.Floyd
4.Donaire
5.JMM
6.Wlad
7.Bradley
8.Froch
9.Ward
10.B-Hop

Froch has been doing tremendously well over the past few years, particularly his last 6 fights.
If Froch can beat Ward, then Bute, then rematch Kessler and win- I will be thinking of Froch as an ATG
he lost to kessler, or was at least in a fight close enough to be a draw or SD. if you think that was a clear froch victory you are biased.
he lost to dirrell on my card, but you could certainly argue that he won that fight. again, same deal. dirrell landed more clean effective punches in that fight. froch hardly hit him with anything, but he did come forward, and dirrell wasn't behaving like a professional.
went to war with taylor (yeah yeah, that was taylor's last great fight, you don't need to tell me, i could have hocked a lougie into the ring that night from my seat. taylor had speed and skills and feints that were able to win rounds against froch and he could do damage with his power. he was going to win the fight if he wasn't stopped)
he's a very good fighter and his approach to boxing in and out of the ring is among my favorites for active fighters
dude fights everybody and will go to war or use his skills, whichever works best
but he's about 11-15 in my book
maybe maybe maybe you can make the argument for ten
ward's got to be rated higher than froch in my eyes.
he's far more versatile, he's got no jumping flaws
and he starched an opponent who earned a W against froch
froch is the man, but he is slow. there's just no getting around it. in terms of a top tier p4p fighter he is slow enough to get exposed
if froch beats ward, however, he's got an argument for the top 5
that would be a fantastic win, and he would have a chance of going down as one of the most accomplished men in the history of the division at 168 (crazy as that seems, its one of the thinnest divisions in boxing history)
his run is perhaps the best in boxing, and he's one of my favorite boxers.
if he beat kessler decisively he'd probably be in my top 10, but he didn't. he's top 11-14 on the merits of his resume, if not on his ring skills and talents
froch actually landed the cleaner punches, roumnd 3 and 8 being the best pun ches of the night.
Dirrell after just 3 rounds had a bloodied face.
Dirrells best punches were in round 10, but due to his awful cheating he was deducted a point.
So all in all, froch won be a mile...
