What a great weekend it was in Canastota. Here are a few pictures I took, I will post up more when I can. It was great seeing all the fighters, past and present. Can't wait for next year.

Right, Tommy Hearns last fought in 2006, and he never officially announced retirement, further complicating matters. He should be inducted next year, but I really don't know if I think Hamed is IBHOF-worthy. Many very good fighters are not in, Marlon Starling is an excellent example.
Wait, so Tommy Hearns hasnt been inducted into the BHOF........
no he hasn't and i honestly don't know why? Him and prince nassem should go in next year i think. Had a great time last friday, wish nacho would have signed but he didn't
Awesome photos and it seems like you were in a boxing fan's utopia and had a blast.
Nothing personal but I secretly wanna punch you out of envy lol
Haha! Thanks for the kind words! :boxing:

I didn't get any pictures of him, but it was very very sad (for me at least) seeing Michael Carbajal. He looks nothing like you remember him, and he was staggering drunk all over Canastota. Very sad seeing him in that condition, and then at the VIP cocktail reception, he was drunk (again) and pouring his own drinks from behind the bar to the point where even Dickie Eklund was tellin him to slow down. I feel for the man because you can tell he's hurtin inside, and I hate to see wounded warriors like that. Hope he gets help soon, he needs it and he deserves to get his dignity back...
Thats awesome that you got to go! I am definitely envious. I had been planning to go since the inductees were initially announced, unfortunately I loaned someone my car and they totaled it so I had to use the money I had saved for the trip up there on getting another car. Really sucks that an event of a lifetime was missed. Oh well I guess I will have to wait for the next big class of inductees. I have a feeling that we may see Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya getting inducted together, I would love to go to that. I could be wrong, but we'll see.
Sounds quality mate.
Maybe I will go next year when The Prince gets rightfully inducted :D
I don't know about Hamed, but Tommy Hearns should be going in next year...
