And Biggs and Tillman both beat Tyson when they were amateurs. So what???? And Audley Harrison won an Olympic Gold. If you are seriously claiming that a fighter's amateur record has any relevance to how they do as professionals then you really don't know anything about boxing.
As for why Tyson ducked Lewis, you'll have to ask Tyson that. The fact that is that he paid Lewis more than $4 million in order to avoid fighting him, which is as blatant a duck as there has ever been.
You're a mother****in idiot that interprets posts how he sees fit.
I was referring to Tyson being able to smother Lewis when they were both young adults, and never having much reason to believe he couldn't handle Lewis during the ****in' 90s.
After Lewis turned down 10 mil. What's your point?
When Tyson was fighting Mathis, Lewis was fighting Butler.
Ducked why? Tyson sparred Lennox when they were both Ameteurs. By all accounts, Tyson gave Lennox a Bloody Nose, and by all accounts except Lennox's, Tyson Dominated every session.

No, what Steward said is that "He is an exciting fighter and is definitely the most dangerous that Wladimir will have faced."
And Steward is right.
lol,,steward always talk up wlads opponents to hype the fight and give wlad more credit if he wins
Thompson, Chambers, and Chagaev? It’s very questionable that Haye would be an underdog against the names you listed let alone a MASSIVE underdog that’s laughable.
Manny Steward ’he’s an exiting fighter and is DEFINATLEY the most dangerous that Wladimir will have ever faced.’
Judging by your first post I would say its for the best. See you next year though....
most dangerous doesnt nessescarily mean best
oh by the way tyson ducked lewis until he needed money & lennox was the man.lewis chased tyson for years as he chased bowe & holyfield for years...
Ducked why? Tyson sparred Lennox when they were both Ameteurs. By all accounts, Tyson gave Lennox a Bloody Nose, and by all accounts except Lennox's, Tyson Dominated every session.
steward should shut up. lennox was overrated.
He's rated a lot higher now than he was while he was still fighting. IBRO (the International Boxing Research Organisation, whose rankings represent a concensus of the rankings of around 30 of the world's most respected boxing historians) currently rank Lewis #12 among the Heavyweights of all time. Cliff Rold ranks him #9, as does Monte D Cox.
As for where Wlad stands in history. Unless I have missed something the heavyweight division has been filled with a lot of so so fighters since the time Ali retired.
Yes, you have missed something: Before Holmes there was no heavyweight division, only a cruiserweight division.
Jeez guys if Manny really thinks that Haye is a bum do you think he would come out and say it? No he would not because the fight will go along way to cement Wlad's legacy if he wins. Also, you guys are putting words in Manny's mouth because he never claimed Haye was the best or even the toughest opponent that Wlad has ever fought. What he said was he is the most dangerous. And might think that he is only dangerous for the first two rounds for all we know or just for the fact that he wings his power punches and leads with a left hook.
As for where Wlad stands in history. Unless I have missed something the heavyweight division has been filled with a lot of so so fighters since the time Ali retired. Because in reality Holmes fought a lot of stiffs as Lewis also did and even Tyson himself fought plenty of stiffs. So, in reality the heavyweight division was full of plenty of stiffs and tomato cans long before the Klit bros showed up. And I will have to admit that I almost fell on the floor laughing when Manny referred to Mercer and Briggs as if they were great fighters. I was rather surprised that he didn't also mention the great Tommy Morrison. What was he thinking?
Steward must think that Wlad has no resume at all.
You got it the other way around: Haye is the one who has no heavyweight resume thus he isn't a quality heavyweight. Nevertheless he might very well be one of the most dangerous opponents.
So Haye is CW and has beat nobody but he's still the best fighter Wlad has fought. Poor Wlad not even his trainer rates him highly.
Don't invent things. He said nothing of the sort.
Instead Manny said:
When asked about Klitschko and Lewis, Steward told reporter Alexander Pavlov the differences and similar traits between the two. Steward brought both of them to the heavyweight title.
Manny Stewart: "The movement of Wladimir better balanced. He clearly works more with his legs. I worked with five world champions in the heavyweight division, including Evander Holyfield. And I will say that Wladimir 's body of work and his coordination is better than all the rest of my students"
and
"I think that Klitschko could have been a force among the fighters of the past decade and would be a big problem for them due to his size, motor coordination and excellent work. And then you factor is his jab."
Haye is NOT the best opponent Wlad has faced, not even in the top five. What Steward says here is that even in a weak division Haye had to fake and talk his way to a shot.
No, what Steward said is that "He is an exciting fighter and is definitely the most dangerous that Wladimir will have faced."
And Steward is right.
Steward just wants to further light a fire under Wlad's ass by overestimating Haye in the media.
He's hoping for a career defining performance, and making the public believe that Haye is a legit threat will make the result look all the better.
You know Ortiz has surprised me a couple times. He surprised me when he easily beat Nate Campbell and by winning against Berto. Now again he is underestimated and will definitely be a live dog early. Ortiz would stylistically give Pac a very hard fight so i agree with a lot of what you say. If Mayweather can stay out of the early danger I think he gets the UD. Well got off topic. David Haye I hope he beats Klit because the Klits r very boring and unwatchable.
The Ortiz that fought Berto would give anyone problems, the pressure, power, speed and output was great.
