Lets say Mayweather and Pacquiao both win there upcoming fights, and we fail to get a 3rd negotiation done successfully.
Who does Pacquiao fight next, with the pressure being put on Pacquiao to fight a young up & comer or someone in there prime, and especially since Mayweather came back and did that, who does he fight?
Bob Arum mentioned names before such as Bradley, Ortiz, Martinez, Cintron and Judah.
Does this count out the chances of Pacquiao fighting Ortiz, Judah, and Cintron?
Pacquiao greatest duck move of all....Tim Bradley.
A light punching, young black fighter, who they will market as being the next Mayweather. The thing is, he is no where near the level of Mayweather, and he won't ask for the tests. Once Manny rapes him, all of his fans will act like he would have did the same to Floyd. I believe Manny retires never fighting Floyd imo.
I hope I'm wrong.
"What this guy said."
The Truck
interesting thread. its funny how Manny and Bradley was already in motion before Bradleys contract with Shaw expired. Manny is never going to want to fight Floyd imo.
lol! Floyd is the one who avoding the fight just like the way when he avoided Oscar rematch, Cotto and Margarito. History showed Pac fought all those Floyd avoided like a plague and did better plus he retired those their common opponents. Average IQ people knows Pac should nothing to afraid against Floyd.
I thought every one is in agreement around here that Bradley is a far better fighter than Ortiz.. So what's the *****in' on a possible Pac-Bradley, if Pac-Floyd wont materialize.
Always remember that there is always a "clause" in Pac's future fights. If Mayweather has finally decided to open up the negotiations and fight MP, then the other opponent will definitely give in so Pac can fight May.
But since thereare no hints that May is ready to go against Pacquiao, then its ok to consider that Bradley will be next.
tim bradley >>>>>>>>>>> victor ortiz, ask lamont peterson... or any rating body or fan when they were both jwws just last year.
jmm is the last of the big money fights for either pac or floyd outside of each other. they have no choice but to go younger, untested on ppv. floyd is starting with ortiz, pac will follow with tim. bradley, khan, canelo will be fighting one or both in the next 2 years until retirement.
Whoever can succesfully beat either floyd or manny takes the mantle a the top guy and cash cow in the sport like floyd and manny did with oscar and the cycle repeats.
Perhaps at JWW, what about at WW. Would Tim Bradley be > than Ortiz there?
It won't be Cintron. But if Floyd beats Ortiz it will almost certainly force Pacman to fight someone live. But then again Margarito,Mosley & Marquez at welterweight in a row says different.
I honestly wouldnt mind berto if not canelo
Berto is like the washed down floyd with sum pop :boxing:
Pac vs Berto
Berto at this point makes no sense. Roach just might do it.

Guys like Chavez Jr and/or Cintron are on the menu for Manny next. Unless he does the testing, which I don't see happening.
i think they would take the chance of putting Chavez Jr in there so many can get another title @ another weight. That fight would be complete **** in my opinion, and so would a Cotto rematch. Im just putting out the worse case scenerios since Arum thinks about "casual fans" when making these fights.
If Arum does not focus on Mayweather, and Pac goes along with it, then forget it. especially if Floyd is calling him out about testing at the time this fight will never happen. It has to be Mayweather vs Pac.
now pac is expected to fight young blood just so pbf got ortiz? this is very comical? why should pac have to always "do a pbf"? for a change, why dont we ask pbf to do a pac and go up the ladder, and win 8 titles in 8 different weight classes? think this will be very interesting....
You are way off base. Pac has never "done a PBF." Floyd won titles at 130, 135, 140, 147 and 154. He has never won a catchweight championship and with the exception of the 140-pound title, he beat the best champion in each division at the time. Pac has won eight titles. He beat the worst of the three champions at 135 and won "catchweight" titles at 145 (147-pound title) and 150 (154-pound title). When he won his 145 pound title, he beat a guy who was considered the second or third best in the division. When he won his 150 pound title, he didn't even fight a legitimate 154-pound champion. Since his spectacular win at 135 against world-beater David Diaz, Pac has fought nothing but recently beaten fading champions or over-the-hill former champions.
If Pac were to "do a PFB", as you put it, I would actually develop some respect for him.
Bradley or Maidana.
Both are bigger than Pacquiao and will out weigh him in the ring.
Victor Ortiz is bigger than Mayweather and will outweigh him in the ring, yet you don't mention that while talking about Floyd vs Ortiz?
im pretty sure he would fight Cotto if he's available. they'll say Cotto presents a new danger at the higher weight. Or he will face Berto, but i doubt it will be anyone else besides Cotto.
If he does fight Cotto, it will be at a catchweight for a 160-pound title that one of those bogus sanctioning bodies conveniently stripped from the real champion months earlier.

The answer depends on the outcome of the Mayweather/Ortiz fight. If Mayweather KO's him (as I suspect he will), Pac will fight either Berto (since he recently lost) or the loser of the Khan/Judah fight (if that fight happens). If Mayweather wins by decision and gets hurt or knocked down (unlikely), then Pac will fight Mayweather because Roach will think he is rusty or has lost his legs. However, Pac will still demand a cutoff on the drug testing requirement to give him a chance to juice up, just in case Roach is wrong. Pac won't fight Sergio Martinez under any circumstances.

Have people been been sh*tting on the matchup or just saying that Ortiz was grossly overrated after the Berto win after being a middle of the pack JWW? Both Bradley and Ortiz were JWWs as recently as early this year, Bradley was the #1 guy after beating the likes of Alexander, Peterson, Holt; while Vic was only ranked #7 after getting his sh*t pushed in by Madiana and looking terrible in a draw against Peterson.
Both guys beat undefeated welterweights, Ortiz with Berto of course and Bradley with Abregu (29-0). If Bradley takes another WW tuneup, say against a Senchenko or Zavec and takes their belt, a fight with Manny would only make sense.
Plain and simple, Tim Bradley is a much better fighter than Victor Ortiz.
wow. just wow. whats sad is your smart but your so biased with pacquiao and everything on his side its sickening. you cant be taken seriously until you call out your own guys when theyre f@ckin up.
Yes but you couldn't bash Pacquiao for fighting Bradley, just like you can't bash Mayweather for fighting Ortiz.
Its hard to bash but it doesn't change the fact that its a complete mismatch.
If Manny Pacquiao goes directly into fight negotiations and signs to fight Tim Bradley after Marquez, then it will support those who say he is ducking Floyd. All Floyd has done by choosing Ortiz, is removing the next best fighter that stands between he and Manny at WW. It is the same reason why he fought Mosley when he did last year. It's irrelevant whether you think Bradley is better, because a Floyd win and a Manny win leaves them @ 1 & 2 in the division. Manny, Arum, & Co have no other credible options than Floyd, because it's going on two years of cherry picking.
Stop it :lol1:
You know as well as I do that Floyd had a year+ to make the fight with Manny but was on 'vacation' until the JMM fight was finalized. As soon as the Ortiz sparring match is over with I guarantee you that we'll be hearing a lot about trials and maybe even taxes that for some reason didn't seem to affect the Ortiz fight.
Your proving my point to be correct in theory, because instead of pushing for the fight with Floyd, your pushing it aside to justify a fight with Bradley. Like I said Bradley is not Mayweather, and everyone wants Mayweather next...including Mayweather.
:haha:
I've pushed for the Mayweather fight, even posted Pacquiao saying he wants the fight after the Ortiz exhibition. Floyd fans only wanted to talk about PEDs.
Where did Floyd say he wants Manny next? All he's said on the issue is he wouldn't get any credit for beating him so why bother. Floyd Sr says 'f*ck that' :lol1:
