If Berto had beaten Ortiz and Floyd decided to fight Berto would people be saying Berto isn't ready or experienced to fight floyd.
Flops like Bob Arum should just shut up
Ortiz is the best welterweight out their other than Pac. If not Ortiz who else is he gana fight at welterweight.
Mayweather-Berto was the plan.
2 undefeated Al Haymon fighters.
Ortiz messed that up. Other than Pacquiao, he's probably the top guy at welterweight. So once again, Floyd is fighting the number two man, rather than The Man.
Ortiz gives Floyd a good fight. Hopefully knocks him down a couple times. He'll lose, Floyd will look good, and then take another year or so off.
Berto-Floyd was NEVER a plan....please believe :cool2:
Ortiz isnt a pushover at all. Physically he CAN do alot of things. Physically he CAN knock Mayweather out. Except the problem here is MAYWEATHER. Skill wise, Mayweather could beat this guy just counterpunching. Speedwise he will be able to get to Ortiz and flee before Ortiz can produce a proper reply.
Its gonna be harder for Ortiz to land then it was for Shane, because Shane is the quicker of the two.
I believe this fight will look simialar to the Baldomir and Gatti fight. Mayweather slipping counter punching pot shottin and fleeing. UD or maybe a Towel gets thrown in.
Ortiz beating up berto was an action packed fight, but Ortiz was on the ground multiple times and hurt and wobbled many times versus berto. Against wifebeater he has no chance to win. He might get put on the floor again, but I do expect him to make it 12 rounds.

I'm beginning to find it very irritating when folks claim Ortiz is too green/bum/tune up etc. Really? A bum? He just moved up in weight to beat and dismantle Berto within his first fight at 147 and he looked better than ever. Think about it..Ortiz was always too big for 140...just making weight was uncomfortable for him, but i believe he found his new home. He hits harder, moves around with more stamina and can take a decent punch. Floyd is strong but not strong enough knock Ortiz out. Ortiz has boxing skills also which would make this match into an interesting war depending on Mayweather's main choice of weapon for the night...if he chooses to coast safely with his beautiful defense or risk more and unleash on Ortiz for 12 rounds.
Another thin...Fukk enough with calling Floyd a pu55y for not fighting Pac. Honestly how ignorant can people be? You accept Pac taking on Shane, Margarito and Clottey but spit on Floyd for picking a young athlete? How the **** can you expect FLoyd to come off a 16 month fake ass vacation and hop in a ring with Pacman???? Pacman would have the advantage on so many levels(minus the in ring I.Q.). Let him get his tune up first...than he can choose whether to fight Martinez or Pac. Some of you are so fckng lame it's pathetic..."omg that blows...Floyd is a chicken ducking Pacquiao...man picking on a green Otiz,etc..." Bull Sh!t people! Y'all talking sht are the same people claiming Ortiz would be a great match for Pac and Mayweather. Also...Pac only fights once every6 God damn months and he has a match for November..which means if Floyd waited for him he would have to fight during 2012's first quarter most likely...that would make it almost 2 years out of the ring for Floyd...is that what you dumb asses want? If Pac were to beat him it wouldnt be as credible as it can be now...think about it pinches idiotas.

Floyd is fighting the number two
who is fighting your GOD pacman @CW144???
ortiz is gonna make floyd fight..hes gonna do like shane..pop floyd in his mouth and force the beast to come out in floyd..this will be a great action packed fight..
Look, May is one of my favorite fighters but quite frankly I'm disgusted by the disrespect shown towards one of my other favorite fighters the champ Ortiz. he ain't no chump like Baldomir or Judah. He's being disrespected like some bum or journeyman which he is clearly not. FFS May was already unofficially defeated by Castillo and now Ortiz is just supposed to bow down and take a beating from May?
You would think that ortiz should have earned some respect by the way he beat down berto, when was the last time May "beat down" an opponent in that manner? Y'all are saying ortiz is gonna get a beating like may is known to do that or something....the last time he koed a real champ was when he koed that brawler Hatton. Ortiz is a whole different animal.
Same was said for Salido, Arce, Montiel against Hazegawa, and even Ortiz himself against Bero. What happened in those fights?
I truly believe Ortiz has the style to Ko May if not beat him decisively. Points? WTF? Points don't hold any real value to me, I will bet anyone all my "points" Ortiz will tax that ass like he did Berto:boxing:
You're dreaming,
I'm just keeping it real,
May is going to tax dat ass so he can pay the IRS.

didn't say Ortiz would take a bad beating, he'll lose a decision
and we like Ortiz, he's great to watch
we have plenty spare points, but as noted, will take yours on this bet

For real, all these stupid ass retard haters like to bash Ortiz for his Maidana fight. To them no one can learn from their mistakes, especially a young fighter.
I hope Ortiz brutalizes Mayweather and JMM embarrasses Pacquiao so that these *****es can finally leave this site.:boxing:
