I have to admit I have always been a little bit critical of Carl Froch and his boxing ability. He just never really impressed me all that much, maybe it was his awkward style or his brash personality but I was just never really sold on him. I remember seeing him at the Pac vs Mosley fight with his wife (who is gorgeous by the way) and I said whatsup to him and he gave me a pound and I though damn that's pretty cool of him, seems like a genuine down to earth dude. Then he goes in and takes some real big shots against Glen Johnson, shakes it off like it's nothing, and completely handles business. I'll tell you what, I still don't think this guy has a remarkable skill set, but he sure is one tough son of a b**tch, and anyone who steps in the ring with him is going to have to go through hell and back to beat him. I still like Andre ward to beat him in the Super Six final, but I really do have a new found appreciation for Carl Froch.
Ward doesn't have the power to stop Froch. I would put my money on Froch.Ward doesn't have the power to stop any of the guys he's fought since moving up to world class level, yet that hasn't stopped him from dominating every one of them. I hope Froch wins, but he won't.
He looks so slow and wooden at times and he DOES make silly mistakes like for example when he jabs he pulls his right hand back too, amature stuff...
But hey he his a good chin a huge heart, top level power, a good engine, perfect SMW frame and he can fight! I rate him highly and its about time he was seen on some p4p lists imo its not all about flash and slick skills
Froch keeps his hands low so his opponent comes into his range,Froch knows he. Can take a punch so he is not worried about getting hit..Once he takes the shot he answers back with good combos..Froch is smart and very underated imo..
I'm just happy to have this final, between the two best, and the two most physically and mentally tough, out of the six fighters who started the tourney.
May the best prizefighter on the night win.
Amen to that bro. With all that is wrong in boxing today this tournament truly turned out as it should have, which is great for the sport.
Froch does nothing great everything about him is settle then you throw in his awkwardness(as TS mention)a lot of people don't see him as being skilled..When in reality dude is very skilled..He also takes on everyone which is un heard of nowa days..Froch is a legend in the making..
Yeah, maybe it's just because he looks so damn awkward sometimes that I under estimate his skills.

I agree with you, but I think Ward's overall speed/athleticism will give Froch problems. Should be a great scrap though and I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully the winner fights Bute.
Froch has excellent skill, he was a world class Amateur who got a medal at the world championships. His defence is lax at times but skillwise, he's as good as anyone.

He's ROCKETED in my estimations since the Dirrell fight too, and im from the UK i watched him come up. I thought he was European class at very best, oh well!
Im a big fan now, and while im still backing Ward its a HELLUVA lot closer than i thought a while back!
