I don't think most gave Margarito anything but a puncher's chance really...Margarito was bigger and stronger but he isn't a KO artist, he breaks guys down...and no way was he hitting Pac enough to do that well, people don't expect for ortiz to outbox floyd either. puncher's chance might also be ortiz' best chance at winning

i don't think ortiz will be competetive at all. he'd be outboxed. i thought the same on margarito but he hit pacquiao more than any other opponent if im not mistaken. I don't think Ortiz will be competitive either really but that is a real risk because there are the unknowns like have we really seen the best of Ortiz and is Floyd going to slip. I didn't think Margarito would be very competitive and he really wasn't outside of a couple moments. He took much more than he gave.

as a pactard, i agree with this. i really can't hate on floyd for fighting ortiz. lets just hope it leads to something bigger Indeed...only thing fans have to worry about is based on Manny's close fights with JMM and Floyds lay off it's not completely out of the question that both could possibly lose and then it would be horrible. Ortiz = Touching prime , Coming of biggest win , Strong at WW , Fast .Hits hard , South Paw . Now add that Floyd is coming back after a year out . Its not hard to figure the more competitive fight .

Good question, Pac took a lot of damage in that fight, his ability to withstand punishment is astonishing. I think Ortiz may be a little tricky early on and he's imo the best southpaw Mayweather has faced.
