Not to beat a dead horse but Pac clearly has not agreed to take the tests or the fight would be going down. Period. Mosley and Ortiz agreed with no problems. Within mere days.
So lets scratch Pacquiao. Arum will most likely match him up with Cintron and hype it up as another "Oh my Pac beat a bigger fighter" nonsense type fight.
So that leaves:
Tim Bradley
Sergio Martinez
Amir Khan
Andre Berto
Im fine with any of those fights.
I don't think he has more than a couple fights left in him at best. He's been fighting since he was about three, please believe his body is a lot older than it appears, regardless of how he's preserved himself. Plus, he's 34. Any day now, my friends, you will be watching one of his fights and the result will leave your mouth wide open.
Another good point, I don't think people understand how much a training camp camp takes out of a fighter, too much emphasis is placed on taking punches in pro fights, not to mention fighters do not decline at equal rates.
IDK about that bruh, Floyd has showed me a lot in that Shane fight when he got Clocked str8 on the chin an didnt drop, and any other WW would have been out on the canvas. Floyd definatly has a good chin, and hasnt been in any really hard battle, tho yes he's not wat he use to be he definatly has faster and better footwork then a lot of WW out right now. I think floyd has about 3 more year(fights left) b4 his skills drastically come down, but can he fight longer? IMHO I think he could due to the fact he knows how to adabt and adjust to all fighters.

B-Hop has been "blessed" with the ability to retain his legs. Floyd has not.

So you'd favour Pacquiao if he and Floyd ever fought? 'Cos if Ortiz would give him major problems, Pacquiao would smash him to bits.
Just curious because I've seen you talk about the fight a lot on here, but I don't recall seeing you pick a winner.
I think Pacquiao would look different after the testing, so it's hard for me to say. And that's real talk.
I see what you're saying. I believe it's highly likely it comes against Ortiz or any other fighter he meets going forward. All it takes is for you to slow down a tiny bit. And Floyd has slowed down significantly. Those punches that missed him by a hair will catch him square on the jaw (see: Jones-Tarver II). I believe Ortiz has the speed, power and moxie to make it happen. Whether he will is another story. But we shall see.

Oh dont get me wrong. Floyds day will come when he gets in the ring and gets his ass beat. I just dont think it will be against Ortiz.
If he fights long enough a young guy like Berto, Jones, Alvarez, Khan will get him.

Out of all you listed I would definitely like to see him fight Amir just to defeat Freddie Roach again. But I think the Sergio fight would be the most mentally and physically challenge.
He may or may not need his legs against Victor. There may be times where he'll have to move against the young, hungry Ortiz. I also think his reflexes will have slowed enough to where he may be misjudging more punches, as he did against Shane. One of them will seriously hurt him. It's inevitable, NC.

Floyd and BHop are cut from a different cloth. Floyd's defense is great, but highly attributed from his reflexes and athleticism. Without his reflexes, trust me, his defense won't be nearly as effective.
Not true Ron.
Floyd has a complete defense. Thats what makes it great.
Shoulder Roll
Using Reflexes and head movement
Philly Shell
He uses them all together in fights or he just sticks to one defense style. I.e.; He went philly shell against Judah like Winky Wright. Floyd is more skilled than Bhop too. Lets not forget that.
With that said Floyd doesnt need his legs. He hasnt needed them since he fought Oscar.
He wont need them against Ortiz either. Victor isnt a guy he will have to corner and pin down or an overly aggresiveky guy that May would have "run" from. Against lefties especially he walks the whole fight. Usaully right towards the target. Ortiz will be a sitting duck. Petersona and Berto pretty much countered at will. Floyd will turn it into target practice.

I dont think it will be tough at all to be honest. If Floyd magically lost all of his athletcism over night hed still be crafty and smart enough to pull BHOPS.
Ortiz, I love the guy but hes too easy to hit, doesnt lead with a jab and has a shaky chin. Floyd will seriously undress him.

I don't think it's a given that Mayweather will be able to do a Hopkins. Mayweather is ridiculously erudite (more so than B-Hop even) and always the consummate professional, but does he have the grit? Hopkins had a whole lifetime of facing and overcoming adversity to build that unbreakable will of his.

Err..hard to discuss the future. Guys...Floyd Mayweather is what, 34? I've been seeing hims lip since the Oscar bout. Ortiz will be his toughest fight since Corley, book it. Probably tougher.

I agree on all points, he will really show his age as well as rust.
Floyd ain't fightin no damn Martinez. He'll give you a million reasons why he won't. Berto makes no sense. Bradley brings nothing to the table except an undefeated record (that nobody cares about). That leaves khan who's got a big fan base without much risk and Floyd said he'd love to fight in England. There you go, a public massacre in the O2 Arena would be nice.
