Strange. He won't agree to any cut-off dates, yet he's just given himself an over a year long cut-off-period from urine as well as blood tests. Very strange indeed.
Why did you need the cut-off period, Floyd? What where you up to? How is this helping the mission you claim that you're on - to clean up the sport of boxing?
To quote Victor Conte, a guy that Flomos like to quote:
"Floyd Mayweather is highly suspicious."
and, not a direct quote but none the less:
"Conte also said that even with the random testing that Mayweather and Mosley went through, both could have used drugs up until the testing started and still have reaped the benefits throughout the testing period and during the fight. He went on to detail how anabolic steroids or EPO both could easily have been used without risk of being caught."
Final words: I'm excited for the Ortiz-fight, but the testing BS is just that - BS. Floyd could've been juicing his ass of for over a year now, he obviously has no problem with that.
List of boxers that said they would take OST
1. Amir Khan
2. Sergio Martinez
3. Victor Ortiz (NOW ACCEPTED)
4. Tim Bradley
5. Andre Berto
6. Shane Mosley (ALREADY TOOK IT)
7. Floyd Mayweather (taking the test)
8. Jean Pascal
List of fighters that said they would NOT take OST
1. Manny Pacquiao
Tell me who the dirty one is?????
You should watch more videos or studies on how coming "off" the juice seriously hinders your performance. You're only strong while on it, your body reacts terribly coming off it. Thats what what youre saying makes little sense.
That's just not true, but let's for a second play with the idea that what you're saying is true, then why isn't post-fight blood and urine tests enough? Pac always agreed to that. What's the problem? If he was using PEDs before his body would be in terrible shape come fight night, wouldn't it?
This is not entirely true. I've worked with athletes and bodybuilders while coming of off cycles. Those who know how to work their cycles and aren't overdoing dosages/combinations can maintain performance.
Then you'd know those who can are pretty few in numbers. Also, though we don't know what floyd does in his everyday life, with all the partying and issues with the law going on.. I find it hard to believe this guys got time to juice up - although his anger issues as of late could also be a sign of roid-rage.
End of the day though, I believe it would do more harm than good for little floyd to get on and come off.

Anybody without an agenda and anybody that is keeping it real knows that all this testing BS was just gamesmanship that blew out of proportion. Because of the way it blew up and in order to save face the Mayweather camp had to hold firm to their position. As i've said before Floyd is the one person that has the power to make this fight happen.
I believe it was gamesmanship as well but at the end of the day, looking at the bigger picture, it's completely justified and needed in the sport. Ultimately it's turned into something the sport needs.
You got a point Mr. Roach, Olympic Testing is supposed to be done year round even when not in training. However, Mayweather asked for "OStyleT" testing not the full blown Olympic Testing random drug testing that Olympic athletes have to adhere to. "Style" is the key word in Floyd's demands. For example, you can find "New York Style Pizza" in Florida because it's not really NY Pizza.

WTF???
Damn some of you seems to be in DESPERATE MODE when it comes to HATING ON MAYWEATHER
I think him fighting Ortiz really caught some people off guard, they wasn't not expecting it so now they are scrabbling for reasons to HATE:nonono::nonono::nonono:
Another post that has NOTHING to do with the topic, but alright...
I've given Floyd credit for taking the fight numerous times already. Hell, even for just coming back. This is not about his fight against Ortiz, this is about all his BS about testing and it's getting on my nerves.

Sure, I'm 10.
How does it feel to completely run out of arguments against a 10 year old for whom english isn't the first language? And then sink to personal insults?
You guys come across as very mature and intelligent, I must say.
USADA does NOT allow the fighters to pick cut off days, they are the ones who determine that. and when pac had the chance to accept the 14 days HE asked for, he walked to fight clottey.
wrap your mind around that FACT, retard. you boy does NOT want to be tested.
there will be no cut off determined but the boxers. now move on
USADA does not allow an retired athlete to compete again unless he's being tested for 6 months.
Floyd claims that he's using "OST" with the help of USADA, yet he's screwing them over and cutting that time down to 2-3 months.
NO! You try again!
Lol, your so in love with Pacquiao aren't you??? You spent all that time by looking that up??? Dude thats so sad, I never seen something so sad.
Do you also have a Tattoo of Pacquiao?
I was right and you were wrong, why on earth should I try again?
Actually, I looked it up just before making that post. Using Google to find USADAs principles and then using ctrl+f and search for "retire" isn't THAT time consuming.
Like all the others who run out of arguments all you can do is throw some insults around, very smart bro, very smart indeed.
Not that it's got to do with this thread, but no, I don't have a Pacquiao tattoo. Nor will I ever get one, or any other tattoo for that matter.

This is a DUMB thread, right now your trying to nitpick.
The whole point of OST, is to be tested while your ACTIVE!!! OST has nothing to do when your on vacation or retired!!!
It's to make sure you go into the fight clean and participate in the fight clean, not to make sure your clean while your on a beach with your FAMILY!!
You're obviously unaware that you maintain part of the results after you stop using certain PEDs.
And YES athletes are tested during there OFF season, but NOT WHILE RETIRED!!!
If thats the case Micheal Jordan is still getting tested.
Just give it up and admit that Mayweather upstaged Pacquiao for once.
Again, you have to be tested for AT LEAST 6 months after coming out of retirement before even being ALLOWED to compete again. So this isn't a valid argument either, check my previous post. Try again. Please try harder next time though, bro.
This is another fun fact straight from the USADA guidelines:
"If you retire, you will be removed immediately from the USADA RTP. In accordance with the USOC NADP, if you ever want to come out of retirement and return to eligible status, you must enroll in the USADA RTP for at least six (6) months in advance of regaining eligible status. Furthermore, pursuant to the USOC policies, all Athletes or other Persons who are candidates for membership on the U.S. Olympic or Paralympic teams must be enrolled in the USADA RTP for a period up to twelve (12) months before the commencement of the Competition. Additionally, it is important for you to confirm whether your particular IF has additional requirements in order for you to regain eligibility after retirement."
So, basically if you haven't been running the risk of being tested for some time, you have to be tested for at least 6 month before you can compete again. Floyd has been tested by the USADA 2-3 months of his entire career.. :D
Are you seriously trying to tell me that athletes aren't tested during their off-seasons?
