Ortiz has no chance of outboxing Floyd, so what do you think his gameplan should be?
I do not expect to see the same Ortiz that outworked and bullied Berto.
I am expecting Ortiz to start strong, after tasting a few well timed counters he will think twice and become gun shy.
Floyd was a much heavy puncher at the lower weights then at welter, so dont discredit him completely. With that said, now, his power will make his opponents respect him when he lands.
Ortiz is a bit chinny IMO but floyd may not be able to stop him. But an accumulation of punishment is a *****.
no disrespct bro , but floyd being a big pucher at the lower weights is a big myth....thats not a knock on floyd but a fact that is ignored...all of his tkos in those weights vs legit fifghters come from corner stoppages ......
i did'nt see shane got hurt vs floyd at all with all of those puches he took.....floyd aint a power puncher, never was even in the lower weights....

Why didn't Shane just walk him down then?
beucase shane was getting peppered with puches...one thing ive noticed about shane is he hesitates when his game plan does'nt go as planned intead of keep tryin...he did it vs cotto, floyd and pac......
if ortiz waits for floyd, it's game over for him...he's got a btter chance if he's the one pressuring than floyd doint it...coz when floyd is doing the pressuring , it means he does'nt respect what a fighter can do...it will be a shut out if that happens.....

If Floyd's punches hurt Mosley I expect Ortiz will feel the same.

;10663400']Gameplan for Ortiz you say? If I was Ortiz's trainer I'd tell him to give every ounce of blood, sweat, energy you have in those first 3 rounds. Why? Once Floyd adjusts to Ortiz's style, it's over. He'll embarrass him in there. Once Ortiz gets to the later rounds he fades, he needs to attack early and avoid those straight right hands if he wants even the slightest chance to get Floyd out of there.
You know that sounds plausible.. If Mosley was able to land early then Ortiz should just blow his load in the firtst 4 rounds to have any chance.

Impose power on Floyd and let him respect the power, head movement, faint jabs and keep the left hand up while doing so to time Floyd, when Floyd gets hit he will be hurt guaranteed, so cut the ring and start pressuring, and get ready to throw the left cross or right hook to finish the job!
"what we'll be calling on is good ol' fashion blunt force trauma. Horsepower. Heavy-duty, cast-iron, piledriving punches that will have to hurt so much they'll rattle his ancestors. Every time you hit him with a shot, it's gotta feel like he tried kissing the express train. Yeah! Let's start building some hurtin' bombs!"

This!
Try and get Floyd to come to him.
I would wait for Floyd and attack like a rabid dog after he misses or is short.
Try and take advantage of being a Lefty
Come out fast & take the fight to Floyd just like you did Berto. It might not work but its his only chance. Sometimes Floyd takes time to adjust to the Southpaw stance and 2nd, he's going to be rusty. That means you put the pressure on him early and maybe you can catch him wit some stuff he's not ready for. Thats his only shot because after Floyd settles in & figures him out then he wont win another second in the fight
put the pressure on floyd non stop.....one thing ortiz dont have to worry about is floyd hurtin him....i expect floyd to run a lot in this fight and potshot.......if ortiz does'nt get tired and have a high workrate , i see him outworking floyd.....he should'nt give him space to think and move....damn, i hope floyd fights margo so he can show how it is done.....
