They've been waiting this out to turn this into the biggest most anticipated boxing match in history, more anticipated than Tyson-Holyfield.
With the recent claims of astronomical money being offered, it's only a matter of time before we see the biggest purse in the history of boxing.
This is all a big plot by both teams and I think we're going to end up seeing both of those guys make $100,000,000 to fight each other.
Pac would not make $100mill remember Arum gets 27% of that, Roach gets 10%, Koncz gets a percentage I don't know how much, Ariza as well.
Floyd wouldn't get the full $100mill either but he will not be paying up almost half of it like Pacquiao.
Floyd has to pay US federal taxes (despite what he thinks) whereas Pacquiao doesn't. So who really wins in that scenario? Or do they come out just about even? Floyd loves to spout that stuff but I bet they both end up with about the same percentage.
What a cheapskate, he doesn't pay uncle Roger nothing or he best bud Ellerbe and what about Haymon.
If Floyd doesn't pay them with cash how does he pay them?
"Floyd wouldn't get the full $100mill either but he will not be paying up almost half of it like Pacquiao."
everyone who claims they arnt interested will buy this fight if it happens no doubt...
exactly!
:lol1:
these nigs sayin,"oh, im not interested","I've lost interest in this fight".
But they damn well know they gon be buyin the fight when it happnens...
I don't have the same hype about it as I did, but to be honest all it takes is Mayweather to have a great performance against a good fighter like Ortiz and Pacquiao to do the same (exciting performance against a name fighter) then both parties coming out and saying the fight is officially on then I along with everyone else will be excited again.
Although I do believe it has lost a bit of its epicness, as I have found with Klit vs Haye..I am not as hyped as I was originally, especially because of silly fights such as Haye v Audley that we had to accept...but come fight week I won't be able to sleep!

That's an unfair statement considering you nor any of us know Pacquiao's purse splits nor Floyd's. None of us know PPV, gate, merch splits that these fighters get when all is said and done. It's all assumptions based on what the next guy said, unless you can provide Pac or Floyd's yearly income?
I'm not losing sleep over the fight not happening.
I'd like to see it as much as everyone else, but if you're expecting an action packed nail biter, this ain't the fight for you.
Don't be fooled!!!!!! This fight is never happening!!!!!!!
Not only that. This fight, if it ever happens, would be a snooze fest. Pac would have a hard time hitting a running target. The first round in the Mosley fight I thought oh boy this would be a long night for Pac. The opponent is hard to reach and not so willing to engage, which is the exact opposite of what people expected, ie, Mosley disrespecting Pac and would walk through Pac's punches and at the same time unleashing his powerful right. It didn't happen. Of course, Floyd is not Mosley, but Floyd won't take risk potshotting Pac in quick successive fashion. Pac's combination would surely be unleashed in one of those potshots. Only thing that could stop Pac from releasing his combo is when caught with a deadly punch, followed by more, which is unlikely. So this would be similar to Pac/Mosley -- boring.
A boring fight doesn't deserve all that money.
Pac vs Ortiz or Floyd vs Ortiz should be pushed instead.
floyd is not even active artm. i don't see how this is happening at all. whoever puts money into this is wasting it. $200m is a lot of money to pay to see these two in the ring. even best football players are paid at most like $100m for a few years contract. it's huge just huge.

Its this kind of backward ass mathematics thats got floyd running from the irs. If he was really half as smart as u claim we would be talking about pacquiao vs mayweather 3 by now. He would have made far more money that way then he ever will this way. In the mean time he hasn't stayed active, can't stop getting arrested, and has shot his legacy full of more holes then a block of swiss cheese...yeah "genius"
They're 1 lineal title apart, they're 3 weight classes apart in titles.
If titles in 5 weight classes, and 3 lineal titles does not cement your legacy. 1 more lineal title and 3 more titles in 3 weight classes should make you so much better.
If I remember correctly, this whole top 25 ATG status/cemented legacy was not being talked about pre-DLH for Pacquiao. So wins over DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley....basically 3 more names made the difference. 1 of those names was not even ranked in the top 15 in any weight class.
paquiao's run below sfw is far more impressive than his fights above it.
but i agree, pac is ahead atg wise but its not as if floyd can't do anything about it if he wants to
If it would have happened a year ago then yes, now it's just annoying.
It would have made the same money PPV wise a year ago than now.
Mayweather is going to be 35, Manny said he only wants 2 more fights, it's not happening people.
The sad thing is, Pac's legacy is cemented, while Floyd will be remembered as the guy who refused to fight Pac.
Not good for boxing.

IRS.
They are currently compounding the number of days floyd dodging the taxman. Floyd will be a hobo in less than a decade.
I highly doubt that's what they're doing. Even now, it wouldn't be the most anticipated fight of all time, though it is definitely the most anticipated of this generation by far.
