Sox fan...certainly they are up there in company with the Yankees as far as payrolls are concerned, but the white sox aren't perennially considered favorites every year like the Yanks
well, you should have used the sox as an anology, chavez isn't getting far. :D
lol at the yankees bit. are you a chicago baseball fan? what the white sox and the cubs got a payroll on pennies?

He won because he was "supposed" to win...Arum has lucrative plans for him.
I agree to a certain extent. This was his showcase fight and I'm sure Arum didn't want his rising star derailed. I can see someone saying Jr won outright, but those scorecards were atroscious. Real close fight.
Chavez is the New York Yankees of the middleweight division...It doesn't matter what year it is, the Yankees will always be in the mix because of unlimited amount of resources that they have access to. Chavez has the right trainer in place, the right promoter, HBO, and also is the son of the Premier Mexican boxer of all time...as long as he has those things in his corner (and the ability to squeeze down to 160) he will be very difficult to beat at middleweight
They picked Zbik for a reason. He can't punch. He showed good boxing ability, yet not great. If he doesn't fight Cotto he will fight a weak Middlweight or blown up 154 fighter guaranteed.
At least you acknowledge that Chavez won.
It wasn't his finesse. It was his strength and conditioning.
Yeah he definitely won the fight...I think the martinez fight is close, and in this same kind of environment...(top rank card, LA, WBC title) Chavez wins
Chavez did not win this fight because he is good. He won because he moved forward and ate light shots from a small fighter who could not hurt him.
you mean like how the ginger kid beat matt hatton?
