Do you guys think that Marquez has the power at 144 to stop Manny from walking through his shots, and just KOing him?
I noticed he never hurt Mayweather in their fight at 147. What do you guys think?
Pacquiao didn't respect his power per se. In the previous fights Pacquiao was hesitant to throw because he would get hit if he made a mistake. Marquez doesn't necessarily need power, he has to be accurate and needs to make Pacquiao's input drop by counterpunching effectively. The fact that he has good power helps but it's not THE decisive aspect.
It's a very important aspect, he was hesitant because of Marquez's effective counter punching.
Marquez seems to have a lot of power at 135, or at least enough power to knock out guys that have never been knocked out before at LW, like Casamayor, Juan Diaz, and he's been only the 2nd man to knock out Katsidis. At WW though, I don't think he even has power to stun, not even the bottom 10th WW, don't care what catchweight it is.
Because they didnt land many...but when Margarito got him Pac was hurt. Clottey even damaged him a bit also. Shane wasnt really fighting so who knows...
cotto hit him with an uppercut that lifted his head up and he did not even wink, jmm hurt pac on numerous occasions at 135, for some strange odd reason manny is stronger fighting in his walk around weight. if fighting in your walk around weight makes you stronger then why hasn't sergio moved up.
Just like Pac v. Anyone else - Its the shots you don't see that hurt you the most. Does Marquez have the raw one-punch power to k.o. him, no.
Does Marquez have the heart to keep fighting until he can accumilate enough or land something lucky at some point late in the fight that may hurt him - Yes.
he didn't even respect any of the welterweights power punches, Rip jmm

Right, Marquez should rely more on skill than anything else this encounter. Power wont do much since he wont be clashing or relying on it as a key instrument to victory. He is relying on Pacquiao to lean in during his flurries and then sway to the right or left and let his hands go.
I don't know how you can say that, Marquez has always had good power and he's used it, he commits to alot of his counters, snapped Pacquiao's head back many times in those two fights. He's gonna need power or else Pacquiao isn't gonna respect him. It's not like he clinches or moves around the ring for you to say he isn't gonna need power, because we both know Marquez doesn't do either of those two things :nonono:

i don't think jmm has a chance in this third fight, a little too late imo. either way, jmm is going to try and do his best, i think he will get dropped once or twice, and manny will get a clear UD.
He didn't need power in his previous fights. It's a matter of being smarter and overall better fighter. The thing is that, almost 4 years later at 38 Marquez doesn't have the same reflexes. He's still a master counterpuncher and has very well educated combination punches. He can still might make the fight interesting, I think.

since when has pac steamed rolled over jmm. He didnt do it in his last two fights what makes you think he will do it now. Jmm has pacs number. He is the one fighter he will never clearly dominate.
Marquez has never had a chin. He gets rocked against everybody he fights, practically.
He has a good chin hes never been KO'd or stopped he has weak legs
Marquez had two chance and almost beat Pac. This time I don't think his chin can save him anymore.

The guy hit Floyd and Floyd smiled at him. And this wasn't the fake out smile that he did to Mosley and Judah, this was the smile I make when I box my 11 year old cousin and he finally lands one on me after a series of misses. "Dang, he got me"
