i dont think he had a good comeback performance at all, i was happy to see him boxing again , but at the same time i thought he looked awful, he still needs to fight very average fighters right now until he shows he's actually back, because what i saw was pretty bad, his first step he accomplished and that was getting back in the ring , step two needs to be get back to what he was but he's not ready at all to fight any top guys he would get embarrassed right now.
you want to rebuild his confidence not step into a fight so soon thats going to mentally destroy him, if he were to fight a top guy next fight i would almost feel bad for him because thats how bad i think he would get embarrassed, let him get back on his feet first and get his confidence back.
A another tune-up with non-descrit guy then i'd like to see him fight Kessler
makes the most sense both are past their primes and have slowed a little but still are active enough and willing to stand and throw at each other neither are going to move alot so it's the most fan-friendly fight.unlike AA Kessler is more consistent and fights all 12 rounds not just in spots. Bute is vulnerable but is to sharp and his movement will negate Pavlik think Martinez fight but with more power shots
Thats exactly who i was thinking about librado andrade. pavlik needs a durable guy but a guy that will be in front of him all night. If pavlik isnt able to beat andrade to me its a clear sign that pavlik wont be able to hang with the top dogs at super middle
based on pavlik last fight i dont think he is ready for bika's rough and tumble style
ure probably right....he needs to look good and Bika definitely aint the opponent for that. im with u two tho, Andrade would be a good fight.
ohh yea....forgot Peter Manfredo
Once again I say Librado Andrade. I think Pavlik needs another tuneup, and what a great fight it could be. Unfortunately I dont think Pav thinks he needs another fight, from what I have seen he still needs to sharpen up before stepping into the lions den with any of the top guys. Out of all of them I do think AA would be the best choice for him.

Sakio Bika

Why Groves BEFORE Abraham?
Pavlik would spank Abraham right now IMO.
Pavlik could use another warm up whether he can beat Abraham right now or not, his body has been through a lot as well as his mind. I also want to see Groves get knocked unconscious for his performance against DeGale.
Abraham makes sense to me....... I mean AA will have no credibility once he loses another time or two, so Pavlik better get to him now while he still has name value

The A.A. that fought Ward would beat the Pavlik we seen in his last two outings. Pavlik doesn't have the boxing skill to do what Froch & Ward did and I am not sure Pavlik could withstand the punches he would get back being that he cannot box his way out of it. Combine that with A.A. level of comp and how active he's been as well as the fact that he's never been KO'd and i just don't see how Pavlik could or would win. It's a bad fight for a guy like Pavlik right now.
Guess there are two identical threads?
I posted this in the other thread Yesterday, 01:14 PM
Not sure who is next, but I would like to see him in with Aaron Pryor Jr next. If he wins then maybe the long awaited Abraham fight that never happened at middleweight.
Andrade
Enrique Ornelas
Allen Green
Brian McGee
Pryor Jr.
Sakio Bika
all good choices and Sakio Bika is a guy that gives any super middle weight a tough tough fight, that dude is highly underated.
