Granted, Many of the guys are 140 lbers and below...
So maybe we can focus on Floyd's 147 Resume... Cotto beats every single opponent of Floyds.
Mosley and Judah are arguably Mayweather's best wins at 147.. And as we know, Cotto destroyed Judah, and beat a younger version of Shane.
Who could beat Cotto? Hatton @ 147? Baldomir ? Mitchell ? Ortiz?
He probably beats everyone that Floyd has at this weight class. Idk if he'd be as dominant in his fights as Floyd was, but he definitely beats them all.
Cotto fought top JWW's, but not the best of the top guys. Arum for whatever reason did not make Cotto vs Mayweather when they were both in Top Rank and Floyd was willing to fight Cotto.
For some reason Cotto vs Tszyu was never made, Cotto vs Hatton was never made.
Yet Cotto vs Malignaggi/Torres/Corley was made easily.
Delusion at it's finest. You take nuthugging into a whole other lever.

Never heard Hatton calling for Cotto, Hatton biggest win was Tszyu besides that what other top fighter did he beat?
thanks for pointing this out.
ALL THE REAL KILLERS AT 140 were: Floyd Jr, Tsyzu, Hatton, and Miguel.
At least Hatton and Tsyzu both fought one person on that list when they fought each other.
Miguel doesn't fight anyone on the list similar to FLoyd, but he always gets a free ghetto pass for it.
This is just so pathetic, people are ****ting on Cotto's resume at 140 yet its still LEVELS above anything Floyd did at 147, and Cotto had superior competition than Floyd at WW. I mean FFS Floyd didn't even fight these guys. Cotto loses one fight MAYBE on Floyds entire resume and thats Oscar. Floyd COULD have lost to both Margarito (simply outworked because Marg's is not going to be afraid of Floyds power) and Manny.
Also Floyd didn't fight Kosta at all, or Hatton at 140 he had to move up to face Floyd so that is still a WW fight. Cotto demolishes Hatton at 140 and at 147 Hatton head would have hit the corner again but because Cotto knocked it off his body. Also, as for Oscar I'll just say this:
OSCAR WANTED NO PART OF COTTO AFTER THE MOSLY FIGHT.
@ 1:45
I agree and disagree. I think he would have beat them all, Gatti would have been crazy as fukk but I think Cotto would have just outworked him. Gatti could definitely punch but I don't think he had the Margarito or Pac type bombs that would break Cotto's heart and stop him late. I think Cotto would just outbox him. Probably would have been another fight of the year, possible fight of the decade type fight. Man that gets me so exciting just thinking about it...
I don't think their's any excuse good enough for this fight(cotto-floyd) to have never happened. No excuse for Floyd to retire. It would make his resume so much better and more spectacular if he beat Margarito and Cotto. Would definitely have tons of trouble with Cotto who always handles defensive boxers. Just got that bad style match up for all of em.
Cotto has never really fought anyone with a good defense except Clottey a fight he looked average in.
He has fought slick fighters but with average defnese and looked good but that has more to do with the fact every time he has fought a slick fighter they have had literally no power at all.

floyd had much worse comp at 140 than cotto...
Cotto was protected at 140 somewhat, so he didn't fight guys like Tszyu and Hatton, because he was "too green".
Not necessarily true, Cotto fought some good comp at 140. Torres, Paulie, Bailey, Corley, Pinto, and N'dou are all respectable wins. I'm pretty sure he would have beaten that washed up version of Tszyu and Hatton would have been demolished by Cotto. You can say a "green" version of Cotto (or bob arum I should say) wanted no parts of Floyd at 140 but the same goes for Floyd when they were both at 147 and people were demanding the fight but Floyd chose to "retire".
Or Mayweather.

I agree. Cotto was a beast pre-Margarito, there's no denying that. Not even the Oscar at 154 would have beaten Cotto before the Margarito fight.
But if you reverse the roles, I don't see Mayweather losing more than 3 rounds to Margarito and he most likely would have beaten Pacquiao in a UD (all speculation, but so is this thread).
Cotto beats everyone at JWW and above that Floyd fought.
But, he doesn't beat everybody below JWW that Floyd fought at the weight that Floyd fought.
However, Floyd might not lose to the guys that Cotto lost to.
