It would be even bigger than Pacquiao v Mayweather.
Get Bradley, Khan, Maidana, Salita, Judah, Guerrero, Morales (maybe Peterson if a tournament is too much for Morales), Alexander/Matthysse and have an 8-way tournament.
Too many big fights to be made without some sort of tournament to make them happen.
And the only reason any of them would back out is due to fear of losing as there's too much to gain from it.
Mayweather isn't fighting. Pacquiao won't be for much longer. The winner is going to easily overtake their mantles. There's too much tough opposition for the winner not to massivly increase their stock and become P4P 1 or 2 by the end of it.
Twitter them all and HBO/Showtime and make them want it!!
I know, I said unofficial 140 tourney.
The Super 6 Tourney was always organized and still is going strong in the semi finals. So Taylor retired, and Abraham decided to DQ himself in the Dirrell fight, which caused Dirrell to withdraw, and Kessler had to withdraw with eye problems. But look at the fights we did get.
Taylor-Froch*
Super 6:
Dirrell-Froch
Taylor-Abraham
Ward-Kessler
Abraham-Froch
Ward-Abraham
Froch-Kessler
Ward-Green
Johnson-Green
Next up:
Froch-Johnson
Ward-Froch/Johnson
Where are the 140 semi finals? The Super 6, in the end would have produced 10 fights. The 140 Tourney got to do 8 and it looks like it ends there with Bradley trying to build up the Bradley brand.
i'd have preferred a 1 and done format.
we already got the 140 semi-finals. khan , maidana , alexander and bradley were the top 4 guys.
it's just BS that bradley ducked khan.
actually we got khan-maidana , bradley-alexander , kotelnik-alexander recently.
and before that we got khan-kotelnik , maidana-ortiz , maidana-kotelnik , alexander-urango , bradley-peterson......
that's pretty much all the top ranked fighters at 140 fighting in the last year or two.
if it wasn't from bradley ducking/avoiding khan , we could have crowned a clear champion this year.
the super six has been the tournament that was sloppy and kinda gay.

There was already one going on before that bum Tim Bradley ruined it
Don't you mean before Khan fought Mcflurry??Because I did not know he was part of the tournament..
we did already kind of have a top 4 tournament with
#1 Bradley vs #3 Alexander
#2 Khan vs # 4 Maidana
although I wish we had Ortiz vs Maidana rematch for the # 4 spot
you have to do it with YOUNGER GUYS LOOKING TO MAKE A NAME FOR THEMSELVES (like Dirrell and Ward in the Super 6) as well as International Fighters who would like to make a name for themselves in the US (Like Froch, Abraham and Kessler)
so Timothy Bradley, Amir Khan, they are already at the top of that Division so it is really NO NEED for them to be in the Tournament nor would they join it
but you could do it with maybe Devon Alexander, Lamont Peterson, Jesse Vargas, Tim Coleman, Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, Denis Shafikov, Mike Alvarado, Kendall Holt, guys like that
for it to work you have to do it with guys who NEED THE EXPOSURE and/or guys who are trying to bounce back from loses in their careers (like Salita, Alexander, Holt, Peterson)
But if it's made now there's time for Bradley and Khan to still be relevant.
Neither of them will be moving to 147 soon as they haven't faced off yet.
It can resolve problems with mandatories as that's going to be the next problem in making the Bradley fight after Khan fights Judah. Maidana's going to want to enforce his fight. And Bradley can't remain inactive while it's all going on.
So the younger guys with the lower seeds will be going against them first and should leave a really good semi-final card.

There was an unofficial 140 pound tourney going on all ready but it didn't have the feel of a tourney like 168 did.
The Super 6 was very organized with all the points and brackets, and fighters HAD to fight each other and it was only AFTER they fought, that some pulled out, and they were replaced anyways.
The unofficial 140 pound tourney was really gay and sloppy, and of course Bradley ruined it. All tourneys should be as organized as the Super 6 or don't even make it at all.

Too young, come on he was 27 for the Khan fight.
And who has Salita beat of note since then?
I'm sorry but the blokes a bum..
Give him the chance and he'll clear out the tournament. Styles make fights. Khan will be a problem but with the right plan it can be different.
Not going to happen with everybody demanding more money and walking out on fights. We really don't even need a tournament. We just need Bradley to fight Khan and the issue of who's the man is settled.

What's wrong? He suffered a flash knockdown which he was too young to know how to recover from and he's gone on to win every fight since.
Who do you want instead?

they can't even get bradley-khan done or judah-khan......one fight.
yet they're gonna get a tournament done?
i was actually interested in this thread till i read Salita, do you have some kind of brain damage?
Who you having instead? What's your contender list?
If the Super Six and the difficulty of negotiations independent of any tournament between the fighters at 140 has taught us anything, it's that this type of tournament would be impossible to pull off correctly.
they did have a tourney
khan beat maidana
timmy beat alexander
then timmy b****OUT
Seed them up front and make it a knockout style.
Based on belts and record you get a higher seed. Higher seeds facing off against the lowest.
Say to each in this round you get $X. Get through to the next round and you get $X.
If any fighter doesn't like the money like Bradley then he can stay out of it and fight Kell Brook for a cent while everyone else has the chance to build a huge reputation and earn a career high payday and become P4P 1 or 2.
