Whats next for Miguel Cotto?

I like Cotto but he did not look good in his last fight until the last round. Before that he seemed almost to be running from Mayorga, getting hurt and not being able to hurt him. I don't think 154 is a good weight for Cotto. you better watch that fight again slick, with the exception of still getting hit a bit too much and losing two rounds, Cotto had a great fight against a surprisingly conditioned (and clean), very large lmw and extremely motivated Mayorga. I saw him do some things defensively and in combinations that I havent witnessed from him. Cotto seems to have lapses though within a fight which he needs to correct or that could cost him.

I am almost sure he is fighting Antonio Margirito in September.

the guy has still aim for the best, otherwise he will become a journyman like fighter, its clear he wont get a figth with mayweather but he needs to try and beat margo which i think he cant do, then rematch pac, he has to try and beat pac to become the number 1, sure he may get his ass whooped but what else is there for him to try and achieve

He stood in the box all day with Mayorga and spanked that ass..Cotto will never come out of a fight without any abrasions or unmarked, as he does not have his defensive style but running he did not do against Mayorga. Then again judging by your screen name I can only imagine who your favorite fighters are.

Cotto vs Margarito the rematch is still the biggest and best fight out there as far as im concerned and its looking likely for later in the year so lets Fukkin Rumble!!! :boxing: He needs to stay sharp and active tho and not sit on the shelf too long, K9 would be a good and easy enough win, Williams is still a player and they'd have a great scrap, Angulo is due a shot and then we got the WW boys Berto, Ortiz ect they all make for good fights

we know cotto and martinez will fight each other. yes manny destroyed cotto (pac is a different kind of beast which would destroy cotto at any weight) but that doesnt mean he has no chance against martinez at 154. vacation on the other hand will not fight all 3. cotto - from a small island martinez - too big pac - doesnt have 100 mil/agreed on ost but not on fight night. Funny, thats why they said they would only fight Cotto if it was at 145. A second fight at a higher weight and Cotto with a trainer would be a different fight.

Foreman wasn't going to end Cotto's career. Anyone in their right mind knew that Foreman wasn't going to be able to push Cotto back(the way to beat the bully) with his pillow punches.
