ideally bardley but it looks like that fight won't happen.
if not the fight with judah makes sense, it wouldn't surprise me if judah gives khan some real problems for the first 4/5 rnds.
imo team kahn seem to have an inflated opinion of themselves, they seem to be demanding way too much at the negotiating table.
For me, it only comes down to three possible opponents that TRULY hold my interest.
1. Timothy Bradley. Obviously, this would settle any debate at 140 pounds. Both are skilled and have similarities to a certain extent. Both bring different aspects to the game. So, it's naturally intriguing. However, this might not be the biggest fight to be made.
2. Zab Judah. With the trash talk and the power that both possess, it's a natural fit. At the same time, but have had their shaky moments in fights. So, it's good in that sense. Plus, it tests Khan and gives Judah his one final shot at the brass ring. If Judah wins, it's a crazy division. If Khan wins, then his unification with Bradley is all the more meaningful when it does happen.
3. Robert Guerrero. The guy I voted for. I went with him because I knew that Judah and especially Bradley would get the majority of the votes anyway. However, it's also an interesting match up. Khan is a big 140 pounder, but Guerrero is a big guy himself. Both have skills. Both are fast. Both have been dropped. Both need a big win to keep moving ahead. Guerrero especially. Fun fight. Not the biggest, but a fun fight.
The other guys just don't do it for me. While Marquez is interesting, the size could be a problem. I don't see Maidana having much more luck in the second fight. Maybe just more of the same. Katsidis and Morales should fight each other. Lol. Just because it has Fight Of The Year written all over it. With Khan, both probably get knocked out.
So, I'd go with Guerrero, Bradley or Judah.
Bradley is obviously the first choice - Chance of an undisputed champ at 140
Zab - Chance for Amir to unify
Guerrero - Underrated and would make for an exciting fight IMO.
Khan Judah Bradley Maidana please you can't ask for anything better then that..Well Bradley Khan but that's not happening so this is as good as it get's..
I said Maidana rematch. Timmy Bradley is obviously the best match at 140 right now, but it isnt going to happen, not yet anyway. So yeah, Maidana rematch would be fireworks. If not, Id also like to see him fight Robert Guerrero, that kid would give him a fight.
Timmy if Tim will step up and fight him. If not, then Id say The Ghost. I think Zab would make it fun for a couple rounds, but he is mentally weak and folds.
Gotta say I'd love to see him fight Judah, Guerrero, Matthysse, and even Devon Alexander if he shows something moving forward in addition to the obvious fight with Bradley. Any one of those guys could/would give him a good fight and I'd even like to see Bradley fight them all. There's SO many big fights in that division, for now I'd like Khan-Judah and then Khan-Bradley. But, whoever wins Khan-Bradley needs to hang around JWW and see how long they can hold those titles, because defending in that division would be an extraordinary accomplishment:boxing:
I vote for Robert Guerrero!
But I am not sure that Golden Boy Promotions want to do that fight right now, but that would be a CHESS MATCH between two very SKILLED FIGHTERS!
Since Bradley has chickened out with his illusions of grandeur...I'd like to see Zab Judah in there to give Khan a stiff challenge. The match up is interesting and would make for an exciting fight.
