Given Brandon Rios style how long...

I think Rios will be around for awhile, from what I've seen he's a tough dude.

If he takes care of himself and continues to improve he could last quite awhile at the top, but with his style it might require some careful matchmaking.

A lot of time weight gain costs speed/movement making the fighter an easier target no?

There are guys who have had worse defense and a weaker chin then Rios who have lasted until there mid 30s and beyond

If anything, making 135 has to be hurting his career as well. I think he'll improve as he moves up, much like Ortiz did, much like Cotto did.

He's good at what he does, that's being a come forward fighter, he's a really good come forward fighter with a seemingly good chin. The shots he took from a strong puncher like Acosta were vicious and he took them and kept coming. I think he's the type that every time he loses, he will lose by TKO, because he disregards defense so much.

hes going to peak before 30... I like Bam Bam but he really needs to learn how to move his damn head

His style isn't friendly towards longevity, but fighters with bad defense have had lengthy careers in some cases. I don't think Rios will be around for a long time though.

I think he's a knock out waiting to happen especially if he moves up. I feel the same way. I don't think he can go over 140 cause he will get ko'd. But he is already having problems making 135 and he is still very young. Can't wait to see what happens.

Do you think his boxing career will last. Do you think he is being brought up too fast or just right? He is a young exciting fighter but I hate to say it, I don't think he has a long career because of his action packed style. 30? That's six years from now. He is gonna age much more w/o better D. That six years is gonna be 9.
