I miss this guy man.. So much personality in the ring..
-Im pretty sure this video was made by ferocity, a poster who used to post here years ago.. The quality isnt great, but good highlights nonetheless..
REFRESHING!!!! GOD BOXING NEEDS ANOTHER JOHNNY TAPIA!!!
the guy was awesome, one of my top 5 all time fighters, he got me really interested into boxing, more so than anyone else, mainly because of his energy...
i met him one time at the grocery store by my house, nicest guy in the world... his wife too was nice as all could be...
i don't know if he would've been the same tapia if he WASN'T on drugs, but imagine if they had no effect on him and he didn't use them, what kind of WORLD BEATER would he have been???? r would he even have been in boxing if he lived a clean life, i don't know, what i do know is he was badazzz!!!
also the guy was addicted to CRACK and was one of the best conditioned fighters of his era...... and fought harder than anyone else.
i had him winning both fights with ayala, but the first one was a pick'em type fight, or a flip a coin, great fight...........
anyways, tapia is one of boxings greatest smaller weight fighters....
Absolutely.. I mean, look at this guy throwing combos in the 12th like he did in the 1st. its insane.. just bursts of energy..
yes, hes died at came back to life from crack/coke about 5 times.. what a f.ucking fighter
