Khan vs Maidana

The "corrupt ref" made sure there was no holding in round 10 when Khan was out on his feet, he gave Maidana all the room to Knock Khan out. I hate is when people criticise Cortez for applying the rules to this fight. Apart from the point deduction Cortez didn't put a foot wrong. He allowed both fighters to fight, and only broke them up when one was holding on the inside. Cortez's style gave Maidana the advantage in rounds 10, 11, and 12, but he couldn't capitalise and lost the fight fair and square. A rematch would be a good spectacle, but it isn't needed at this time.

No way. Khan clearly won that fight. You can maybe have it as close as 2 points, but Maidana did not win no way no how.

so throwing an elbow at someones face is a BS deduction? no. it wouldn't be if that's what happened. but it didn't, didn't it? i can't count how many times khan initiated a clinch and dug his elbows down maidana's neck while he pushed him down or how many times he turned his back though. joe cortez fair and firm ATG ref.

I dont remember how I scored it but I think I had Khan winning by 1 point not counting the deduction, because that was a bs deduction. I wanna see a rematch because I think Miadana knows what he has to do and that would make things more interesting. so throwing an elbow at someones face is a BS deduction? no.

@ zig zag to me it depends who you gave rd 4 and 11 very close rds to i did think maidana did slightly more damage in those rds. The other rds it was pretty clear who won. I think you had to score the 10th rd 10-8 for Maidana. Even the 5th rd i thought that point deduction was bs i scored 10-8 for khan.
