Tarver props, Pascal props, and Glen Johnson props.
Who gives a **** who was favored over who. Doesn't change the fact that Trinidad was more successful at the lower weights. At 160+ he was like 3-3. Please tell me that any great fighter like Trinidad would get a record like that if he didn't belong there. Calzaghe moved up, no way to flipping it. End of story.
Trinidad had a two year layoff before he came back and beat Mayorga and then lost to Wright then had a three year layoff before he fought and lost to Jones.
Everyone thought hopkins won the first time.
and name one other fighter who has won a world championship at age 46. That's right you can't.
We all know you hate hopkins since he destroyed tito, but it's ok, you can give him props for his accomplishments, no one will mind.
hell mofoing no......
even calzaghe gave him props on twitter, but the haters on nsb keep staying blinded by their hate
cool....Calz is a cool dude at the end of the day so I'm not that suprised....classy move by Joe...nuff respect to him....as for the haters....just :lol1: @ them bro
Because it's the truth that he beat up on smaller guys? :dunce:
But it doesn't change the fact that Calzaghe STILL went up in weight.
Hopkins best wins have been against smaller guys, no way to go around that, not even with the age excuse. I gave him props for the Pascal win and hope he keeps fighting legit fights.
they weren't smaller guys when they were known for dropping 35+lbs to fight at their supposedly best weight class, that is not their natural weight class if thats what they have to do to dominate it.
if you want to talk about guys fighting smaller guys, then take that up with DLH and trinidad, mostly trinidad, which is who most are talking about when they use this lame STRAWMAN argument about hopkins.
if trinidad is walking around at 185-190 then fighting at 147, is he still smaller when he fights at 160?? dropping from 190???? because that is what he did, almost his whole career, walking around at 175 sometimes, most of the time walking around 185 between fights.
same with DLH, walking around at 160-170, then dropping down to 135-147..... GTFO with that crap...... smaller guys.......
it's harder to stay at the same weight as you get older, and hopkins did just that, he didn't manipulate his weight to have an advantage over smaller guys in the lower weight classes, he took care of his body to give him the advantage of being in impecable shape being fighting ready for when he started camp, no losing weight then training during camp, just trianing, and we're seeing that advantage STILL PAYING OFF TODAY, BY LIVING A GOOD CLEAN HEALTHY LIFE.......
all you blow hards with this fantasy about hopkins only fighting smaller guys, what about the BIGGER GUYS that dropped down into middleweight to have a size and weight advantage over middleweights, that hopkins fought, he beat those guys, but i guess since it's hopkins he's a giant at middleweight so even if they came from cruiserweight hopkins is still bigger than them, GTFO you dildoz.......
trinidad yoyo dieted so much his body wouldn't let him go below 185 or something ridiculous like that when he entertained a rematch with hopkins, saying it can't be below 185 because he would be too weight drained???? what?? the smaller guy calling for a much higher weight class than the so called big man is even fighting in???? how can that be??
well duh, trinidad was never a small dude...............
i love how all these fables become fact to the ignorant and uneducated, at this topic of the sport, weight classes, size, and advantages.....
it's funny, just like the old saying: first they ignore you, then they laugh at you and discredit you, then YOU WIN!!!!!
that sums up hopkins career....... first no one cared..... then they dismissed him only criticizing him, now he's winning and none of the crap that they used to discredit him can even be used against him any more because it's been proven otherwise.........
anyone who drops 25 or more lbs to make weight in a certain class, is fighting and probably beating up smaller guys............ no the guy who is staying at one weight class and fighting who ever comes in it............. wake the fvck up and learn something about the sport will you guys???
that's cool so was I. Here are the poll results immediately after the fight:
http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=2&pictureid=9538
That's a whopping 16 people who scored it for Pascal. 207 for Hopkins. Keep in mind his fans, including that one loser who was riding the pascal band wagon hard until his picture was posted on here and never posted again, voted for pascal. With all the hopkins haters on here, margarine of error, I'd say quite a few of those who voted for pascal or a draw did so because they just don't like bhop. Still, even if you take those results as 100% accurate, that's 207 to 16 and 15% scored it a draw.
also keep in mind tunney has about 10 alts and voted for pascal many times.
come on , man.
forget that he drew with the same mediocre fighter the fight before and his 2 crap fights before that one.
legend , holmes. legend.
remember when he was faking low blows everytime calzaghe was touching him up?
legend , bro. legend.
:lol1::lol1:
Bhop Executioner
even calzaghe gave him props on twitter, but the haters on nsb keep staying blinded by their hate
remember when he was faking low blows everytime calzaghe was touching him up?

Damn he finally beats someone decent in his own weight class since like 2006. What a legend alright!! :lol1:
come on , man.

For beating Pascal?
Froch all ready did that and better
Hopkins was already a legend
But lets not pretend he cherry picked Pascal and won't go near Dawson
c'mon son...you heard bully..BOW DOWN like :notworthy
