How you see this panning out? ND movin up a weight class and takin on the slick Cuban? I think it would be more competative than most would think with Rigo's footwork
Rigo close decision
Rigo got dis one. Nonito abuther hype job
Do you know what a hype job is.
Donaire is a proven fighter who knocked out other proven champion.
Rigo has hot fought 1 great fight or even a b level fighter in his career. He was hurt by a jab against a bum and him beating another bum he is now this great champion even though resume is trash. I bet if donaire knocked him out this year, I bet none of y'all will give him credit and try to bring up that rigo only have 9 pro fight. Yet donaire is the hype job even though he is by far more proven than rigo.
Donaire by decision. I think Rigondeaux ends up staying too defensive, and losing rounds because of it. Everyone talks about how if fighters only opened up more when they were making Donaire chase, they'd have beat him, well there's a reason they don't open up more.
Rigo's style is all wrong for Donaire. Nonito has a good shot, especially if Rigo stay too defensive, to get the fight on points.
But Rigo has the speed to match Donaire and counter him, very solid defense, great footwork. I'd pick Rigo, but it's really a 50/50 fight to me.
when this thread was originally made i had picked donaire. i'm riding with rigondeaux if this fight ends up happening
The above posts sum up my sentiments for this match-up. I'm still leaning slightly in favor of Donaire, but that could easily change. This might wind up being a rather boring fight if it's made, but could easily end in spectacular fashion. I hope Nonito gives up that "Rigo is boring" line soon. There are only two real challenges at 122 for Donaire: Nishioka and "El Chacal."
I don't like Guillermo ..hes no Gamboa
Yeah.. he sure doesn't keep his chin up and throw wild flurries.
Thats probably the exact reason he's bested Gamboa what.. 4 times in the ams?
donaire by late stoppage. donaire has been in there with hard punchers ( darchinyan, montiel, marquez and now vazquez jr) so i don't see rigo being able to significantly hurt donaire..and i also still question rigo's chin and heart.
donaire. and i think it would be incredibly boring.
8-4, 9-3, something along those lines
very few punches thrown or landed for such small guys. i hope i am wrong

I highly doubt this fight happens. While Nonito had a great win over Montiel at 118, he didn't end up fighting Mares, Moreno, or Agbeko there. I see Donaire fighting Vazquez, Terrazas, and Arce, than jumping to 126 in 2013.
Hope I'm wrong, really want him to fight Rigondeaux and Nishioka. I just don't see the point in fighting Narvaez, Vazquez, and Terrazas, when he could have been fighting Moreno, Mares, or Agbeko at 118, or Nishioka and Rigondeaux at 122.

Donaire is afraid.
Donaire is trying to confuse the boxing fan, but he does not know that we know as much as him about boxing, he is trying to put Rigo down because of his style because he know he will has to do what Rigo want him to do in the ring and at the end lose. This is the fight everybody want to see no Arce. Of course that is the fight he want because Arce is a street fighter, not a boxer. OK let do one think. Let put Donaire with the japanish and Rigo with Arce and then the winners against each other. What about that.
giimmeeee rigo meng by a kidney shot that will have donaire pissing blood for the rest of the year
i was going to post the same thing, that left to the BODY will slow anybody down
I like Nonito though, he is a very good fighter but I think Rigondeaux can beat him
