I've recently got back from travelling in South America and I wanted some advise on what fights to download and watch from this year. I've been away since January and the first boxing I've seen since I got back was the Prince Arron x Webb fight last week, not a bad welcome back.
I was thinking of Montiel x Donaire, Alverez x Hatton, Cotto x Mayorga, Burns x Laryea, Martinez x Dzinziruk, Khan x McCloskey, Berto x Ortiz, Pacquiao x Mosley and the Prizefighter.
I know a few of the fights are stinkers but I might aswel watch them once for myself. Any help on any I've missed or anything would be cool.
Cheers
Rios - Acosta. Great fight, with a great story within the fight. Swings. Very fun fight, as well.
Berto - Ortiz. At this point, it's probably the fight of the year. Great back and forth action throughout.
Kirkland - Ishida. Fun fight simply for the surprise of it.
Katsidis - Guerrero. Fun fight. Fairly one-sided, but it was a a fun fight to watch.
Montiel - Donaire. Short, but sweet.
Salido - Lopez. Crazy fight when you look at the circumstances.
Others:
Gonzalez-Hasegawa.
Rubio-Lemieux.
Cotto-Mayorga.
Decent year of fights thus far, actually.
I would check out the Pavlik-Lopez fight on the undercard of the pac-mosley fight. It was an entertaining fight.
Really? neither looked too good. Arce- Vasquesz was by far the best fight on that PPV. Classic Mexican-PR war.
Hernan Marquez vs Luis Concepcion was a pretty good fight with good doses of drama.
The entertaining FOTY type fights missed:
1. Berto-Ortiz
2. Arce- Vasquesz Jr.
3. Rios-Acosta
4. Maidana- Morales
The must see because of how incredible 1 perfomance is
1. Montiel vs. Donaire
2. Martinez-Dzinzurik
3. Gamboa-Solis
I also liked Andy Lee-McCewan, cool ending. Also, tons of upsets if you like that.
Thanks guys
These three are must watches:
1. Berto-Ortiz
2. bam bam Rios vs Acosta
3. Maidana vs Morales
I can't believe I forgot the Morales fight.
Cheers
