Why is okay for Manny to say he doesn't need this fight?

The cal isn't on him. Despite what PBF fanatics think, Pac has WON the PR war in the mainstream when it comes to him versus PBF. Look at his activity level from 2008 to present versus PBF's. Haters will hate so it doesn't matter who he pleases. He has money up the yang now and another career serving his constituents. I will admit that Arum is making **** MUCH MORE DIFFICULT then it needs to be and I can't stand Bob Arum. Honestly I see Manny fighting JMM,Bradley and Ortiz then him retiring at this point. I highly doubt the PBF fight will ever happen.

In all honesty, Floyd needs Pac more than Pac needs Floyd. I mean, Pacquiao wants to fight him, but what can he do? Floyd has some shiit to take care of. I really highly doubt that either are afraid of each other. Imagine being Pacquiao where he's constantly being asked about this. It'd get annoying after a while. Pac is a great great fighter and I have the utmost respect for what he has accomplished, he is certainly a top 25 ATG and even as a Floyd fan I will absolutely say his resume/accomplishments are superior to Floyd's. The 8 weight class thing is complete trash and any real boxing fan will acknowledge that. Manny's career was defined below 140 and anyone who knows their stuff will state as much. The Barrera, Morales, Marquez fights were what make Pac great and make his resume better than Floyd's. Quite frankly everything Pac has done above 135 has been a complete circus show and more Bob Arum bulls**t than anything else. Why do people think they can disrespect the likes of Cotto, Hatton, Clottey, Margarito? Yes what Pac did below 135 is what bought him to our attention. But what he has done at 140+ has cemented his ATGness.

mayweather is not interested in fighting by the same rules everybody else fights under. they both obviously dont want the fight enough because pac could just take the extra tests or floyd could just fight by the same rules he has for 40 out of 41 of his fights. They would both be tested and fighting under the same rules.....How can you defend this nonsense....

If you compare my accomplishments to his......" However when Floyd is asked he says he wants the fight just take the test. Truth be told, Manny DOESN'T need this fight. So long as there are a million or so people who will buy the likes of the Mosley PPV. Manny can fight scrubs and make millions. I will never doubt the man's drawing power. That being said, I do question his character. As things stand, yes Pacquiao's legacy is far greater. He's a probably future top 10 ATG, a lock for top 20. While Floyd will be top 50, and you'd have to be generous to have him top 30. Pacquaio's legacy from 140-147 in these past few years trumps Mayweathers, and his record below 135 where he went 5-1-1 (3KOs) over the other members of the Fab Four of his generation beats Mayweathers career at the lighter weights and his best wins over Corrales and Castillo. And as far as this thread, Pacquiao has been saying for the past year he wants the fight, while Mayweather has only been saying he was taking 1-2 years off and the fight would only be made after his vacation, which officially he has not said is over yet. Him coming out just as Pacquiao is just about signed to fight Marquez doesn't change that. And it's quite convenient for him, isn't it? He can say he wants the fight, knowing it won't be made. Atleast it's good going forward that he's finally come out and started talking about the fight. He'll have no excuse after the Marquez fight to turn it down. We'll just have to wait and see, don't know what to expect with Mayweather He came out after the Shane fight...what are you talking about....convenient....How is signing for a fight saying you don't want it....switch Floyd and Manny and then really evaluate what is really happening.
