the wear and tear would only occur if he was training like a professional. Working him 2-3 times a week would leave more then enough recovery time for his body to recoup and repair any damage. My son is about to hit 3 years old, 2 more years and I plan to start his training. I don't plan on him boxing in the future but I feel its very important for parents to encourage their childeren into sports so that they have a positive use for the energy they have.
