I'll admit that I found his fight against Abraham very entertaining and exciting.
didn't bother to watch the abraham fight...already knew what would happen there...
abraham is/was an already cooked goose...the type of fighter that would make ward look like superman...
holding out final judgement until he steps in the ring with dirrel, froch, or bute
He's exciting because no one can deal with him right now. He's dominating 168, imagine what he could've done to Calzaghe if he got his head on him.Fixed that post for you :haha:
Not exciting more than likely, but I do like to watch him fight. He has a lot of skills and is always thinking in there. He has the ability to adjust in mid fight and that is an ability that only the top boxers have.
The only thing missing in him is KO power
You must not know **** about boxing if you call Andre Ward garbage.
Stiffer comp? He is fighting the best at 168.
Soon he will fight the winner out of Froch/Johnson.
It don't get no better than that at 168 other than Bute.
he's garbage in my book because he has to fight dirty to beat lessor competition in his hometown, complete with store bought judges and refs....
sorry i don't consider bika, abraham, and green the best @ 168...he should have been able to ko those guys with one hand tied behind his back...
don't you fukking read? i said if he stepped it up and flattened some fighters outside of his hometown i'd give him some respect...

Ward is a B fighter. He ain't PRIME Roy Jones or James Toney or BHOP period!
right now he's garbage...jury is still out...if he stays clean and fights some stiffer comp outside of his hometown i'd give him more respect...putting a few fighters on their back wouldn't hurt either...

He reminds me of Chris Byrd! Ward doesn't have the it factor. Please feel free to disagree.:boxing:
Ward is a good fighter on his way to being great.
Right now he is fighting the best and winning and thats all you can ask of the guy.
He may not be knocking these guys out, but who has knocked out Kessler, Abraham ?

Ward can't finish people!
That's an opinion that I simply don't agree with. The guy is humble, but confident. Well spoken. Decent looking kid. Good post-fight interview. He also wins. Winning is the most important part of any athlete and their success with the media and what have you. Winning means they have to keep talking about you.
He throws fast shots and has decent pop. He throws combinations that are on par with some of the best. Off the top of my head, only Donaire, Juan Manuel Marquez and Martinez throw level or better combos.
He's fun to watch. I enjoy his fights. He's not Gatti or Pacquiao, but few fighters are.
I thought the Abraham fight was exciting for sure. Don't know what you're talking about. He's had some ugly ones, but EVERY boxer does. You're just a hater.
Ward doesn't have that killer instinct like TYSON or Pacman though!
I like him when he's not initiating clinches and his fans say this is a legitimate style that only real fans can appreciate and enjoy.
I agree, when he's not clinching or heatbutting his opponent he has good skills, unfortunately he's addicted to do those things.
